white supremacy head threatens to
release intel on the personal lives of GOP if Bannon is fired
If senior White House advisor
Steve Bannon goes, white supremacy leader and Pizzagate inventor Mike Cernovich
will release his own plague of secret information that will “destroy
marriages.”
The
Daily Beast captured an
11-minute Periscope video from Cernovich that threatened of a series of “scoops”
that could bring people down.
Bannon was thought to be on the outs as he’s said to have
alienated President some rich asshole’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. the rich
asshole said in an interview this week that he serves as his own strategist. When
asked about the feud, the rich asshole claimed, “I told them to
straighten it out or I will.”
some rich asshole Jr. tried to
play nice, tweeting out that Cernovich deserved a Pulitzer Prize for his posts
on Susan Rice’s efforts to unmask the rich asshole staffers that were allegedly
colluding with Russia.
That didn’t sit well with
Cernovich who was quick to threaten the new president.
“If they get rid of Bannon, you
know what’s gonna happen? The motherlode,” Cernovich said on the video. “If
Bannon is removed, there are gonna be divorces, because I know about the
mistresses, the sugar babies, the drugs, the pill popping, the orgies. I know
everything.”
He went on saying that if the
White House goes after Bannon then he’ll drop the “mother of all stories” that
will “destroy marriages, relationships—it’s gonna get personal.”
Other white supremacy leaders have
been pushing out #KeepBannon tweets after generating a #FireKushner hashtag and
a #FireBannon hashtag surfaced.
Cernovich talked about the Rice
stories as well as one about National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, who
replaced Ret. Gen. Mike Flynn
“I have more stories that I
haven’t released,” he continued on Periscope. “I haven’t released every scoop
that I have. I release my scoops strategically. I’m sitting on way more
stories.”
He claimed that he would “go TMZ
on the globalists,” a reference to the split from moderate republicans like
Kushner who has a globalist philosophy and white supremacy people like
Cernovich, who considers himself a nationalist.
“I will go Gossip Girl on the
globalists,” he continued. “I will go Gawker on the globalists. So you
mother-effers going after Bannon, just know I broke two of the biggest stories
before anybody else. If you think I don’t know the pills people are popping,
the mistresses, the sugar babies—I know all of it. So you better be smart.
Because the mother of all stories will be dropped because I don’t care.”
He claimed that they could even
kill him but it wouldn’t matter. “You can’t kill what is already dead. What is
dead cannot die,” he said.
some rich asshole To
Speak At NRA Convention — First President In 34 Years To Do So
It’s so good to “have a
president who respects the Second Amendment,” an NRA spokeswoman says.
President some rich asshole has agreed to speak at the National Rifle Association’s
upcoming annual convention in Atlanta, the organization has announced.
The NRA endorsed the rich asshole for president last May and
poured money into his campaign after he addressed the forum last year. the rich
asshole frequently spoke out in support of the right to carry guns and against
“gun-free zones” on the campaign trail. At one point, he urged “Second
Amendment people” to do something about Hillary Clinton — a call many
viewed as urging violence against his rival, which he denied.
“If she gets to pick her judges ― nothing you can do, folks,” the rich
asshole said at a North Carolina rally last August, after
suggesting Clinton would destroy gun rights. “Although, the Second Amendment
people. Maybe there is. I don’t know.”
the rich asshole’s Supreme
Court judge Neil Gorsuch is a staunch backer of the Second Amendment. The
president has also been hacking away at gun restrictions, most notably signing
a law eliminating an Obama
administration background check requirement aimed at blocking gun sales to
certain mentally ill people.
The NRA is over the moon
about the rich asshole’s appearance on April 28.
“The NRA is honored to have the
president address our annual
meeting at the leadership forum,” spokeswoman Jennifer Baker told Bloomberg.
“We’re excited to once again have a president who respects the Second
Amendment.”
the rich asshole’s son,
Donald Jr., a big game hunter, is also a darling of the NRA. He headed up his
father’s Second Amendment Coalition advisory group. He’s behind a current push
to ease restrictions on the
sale of silencers.
the rich asshole is the first
president to address the NRA’s leadership forum since Ronald Reagan did so 34
years ago. Dick Cheney spoke at the convention in 2004 when he was vice
president. George H.W. Bush dropped his NRA membership in 1995 after an organization letter described some federal
agents as “jack-booted thugs,” Bloomberg noted.
the rich asshole’s secretary
of the interior, Ryan Zinke, is also expected to speak at the forum, as are Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R)
and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), according to the NRA website.
The convention, expected to
be attended by some 80,000 people, will run from April 27-30. April 28 is
the last day of government funding under the current spending bill. The
government faces a partial shutdown if Congress doesn’t pass a new spending
measure by then, and things could be tense back in Washington.

rich asshole responds to protests demanding he release his tax returns: 'The
election is over'
President the rich asshole apparently
remains defiant in response to calls that he release his tax returns, a demand
made loudly and visibly this weekend by thousands of protesters around the U.S.
The president took to Twitter on Sunday to deride the Saturday
protests as "small," and to suggest that the issue is irrelevant
considering his victory in the presidential race.
I did what was an
almost an impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral
College! Now Tax Returns are brought up again?
Someone should look
into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!
The president also
suggested that the protests were organized by "paid" protesters,
citing no evidence.
The "tax
march" protests were held in about 150 cities and towns Saturday,
including outside the president's Florida estate where he is spending the
weekend.
As the rich asshole
was returning from a trip to a golf course on Saturday, his motorcade took a
10-minute detour to avoid protesters lined along a road leading up to
Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
the rich asshole was

queen’s gold carriage during Buckingham Palace visit: report
resident some rich asshole is
creating security concerns over his visit to meet with the Queen of England
because he wants to ride in her golden carriage.
According to the Times of London,
the White House has let Buckingham Palace officials know that the rich asshole
is very interested in being part of a carriage procession up the Mall during
his October visit.
British
security services are balking, saying the president’s wish is presenting them

London
Metropolitan Police have already been making plans for the rich asshole’s
visit, expecting tens of thousands of protesters to descend on the procession
route. Their preference is for the rich asshole to make use of a bullet and
bomb-proof car that was previously used by former President Barack Obama.
“The
vehicle which carries the president of the United States is a spectacular
vehicle. It is designed to withstand a massive attack like a low-level rocket
grenade,” a police source explained. “If he’s in that vehicle he is incredibly
well protected and on top of that it can travel at enormous speed. If he is in
a golden coach being dragged up the Mall by a couple of horses, the risk factor
is dramatically increased.”
“There
may well be protections in that coach such as bulletproof glass, but they are
limited. In particular it is very flimsy,” the source continued. “It would not
be able to put up much resistance in the face of a rocket propelled grenade or
high-powered ammunition. Armour-piercing rounds would make a very bad show of
things.”
According
to the report, the local police are already working with Secret Service advance
teams and will be providing elite anti-terrorism teams to help protect the rich
asshole.
‘Dead strategist walking’
Bannon was ‘doomed’ the moment Time
magazine put him on its cover: NYT
New York Times columnist
Frank Bruni said on Saturday that former Breitbart.com CEO turned
senior White House adviser Stephen K. Bannon’s days were numbered in President
some rich asshole’s administration from the moment his face appeared on the
cover of Time magazine.
“If you’re any student of
politics, you saw Steve Bannon on the cover of Time magazine in early February — ‘The Great
Manipulator,’ it called him — and knew to start the countdown then,” Bruni
wrote. “Dead strategist walking.”
Other reports from White House insiders agree, Pres.
the rich asshole was deeply annoyed at seeing his adviser on the cover of Time billed as the hand behind the throne.
“That doesn’t just happen,” the
rich asshole reportedly said when he saw the cover.
“He’d
crossed the line that a politician’s advisers mustn’t, to a place and
prominence where only the most foolish of them tread,” said Bruni. “Or at best
he’d failed to prevent the media from tugging him there.”
“He was damned the moment he was
cast as a puppeteer,” he continued. “That means there’s a puppet in the
equation, and no politician is going to accept that designation, least of all
one who stamps his name in gold on anything that stands still long enough to be
stamped. Or whose debate performance included the repartee: ‘No
puppet, no puppet. You’re the puppet.’”
The
notoriously thin-skinned the rich asshole was not about to be upstaged by
an adviser he assumed would remain in the background.
“Politics
is a tricky business,” Bruni explained. “Washington is a treacherous place and
Trumplandia is downright brutal. In all three realms, you have to strike the
right balance of self-promotion and self-effacement.”
Bannon overstepped his bounds, as
far as the rich asshole was concerned, hence the president’s
statements last week publicly distancing himself from the “white supremacy” white
nationalist in interviews, calling him “a guy who works for me” and claiming
not to have known him before the 2016 campaign.
Bruni
said it must have stung for Bannon to hear his boss “lumping the lumpy
tactician together with the concierges at the rich asshole Tower, the
groundskeepers at Mar-a-Loco and the makers of the meatloaf in the White House
kitchen.”
“the rich asshole’s allegiances
are fickle. His attention flits,” Bruni wrote. “His compass is popularity,
not any fixed philosophy, certainly not the divisive brand of populism and
nationalism that Bannon was trying to enforce. Bannon insisted on an ideology
when the rich asshole cares more about applause, and what generates it at a
campaign rally isn’t what sustains it when you’re actually governing.”
Bannon’s
biggest mistake, Bruni said, was to pick a fight with one of the rich asshole’s
family members, son-in-law Jared Kushner. Breitbart went on an anti-Kushner
tear, publishing a rapid-fire series of articles attacking him, only backing
off when Kushner himself complained to the president.
“Consider the rich asshole’s obsession with appearances,
then tell me who has the advantage: the guy who looks like a flea market made
flesh or the one who seems poised to pose for G.Q.?” Bruni said.
He concluded, “Bannon is still on
the job, and the rich asshole may keep him there, because while he has been
disruptive inside the White House, he could be pure nitroglycerin outside.
He commands acolytes on white supremacy. He has the mouthpiece of Breitbart
News. He has means for revenge. He also has a history of it.”
Bannon
should have borne in mind, said Bruni, that “if you want to be the Svengali,
you have to play the sycophant. That was a performance beyond Bannon’s ken. He
never had a chance.”
the rich asshole’s old tweets come back
to haunt him after White House decides to keep visitor logs a secret
White House communications director Michael Dubke on Friday
confirmed suspicions the the rich asshole Administration will not disclose
visitor logs of people visiting the complex, Time reports.
The decision reverses an Obama-era
policy that disclosed more than 6 million records, Zeke Miller reports.
According to Dubke, the decision is based off “the grave national security risks
and privacy concerns of the hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.” Dubke
also said most of the logs will not be subject to Freedom of Information Act
requests.
Following a pattern of the
rich asshole doing things he used to criticize Obama for, tweets unearthed
Friday showed the move is not only a reversal from the prior administration,
but from his own prior stance on the matter.
Why does Obama believe he shouldn't comply with record releases that his
predecessors did of their own volition? Hiding something?
Why is @BarackObama spending millions to try and hide his records? He is the least transparent

President the
rich asshole Makes History With Latest Mar-a-Lago Weekend Vacation (DETAILS)
By Natalie Thongrit -
April 14, 2017
Earlier this week, CNN revealed that President the rich asshole
is on track to spend more on travel in his first 80 days as president than
President Obama spent during his eight years in
office.
That news is certainly not
hard to believe, especially considering the fact that, as of Friday, the
President has spent 23 days of
his presidency at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. the rich
asshole took his seventh trip to the “Winter White House” this weekend to
celebrate the Easter holiday.
the rich asshole
arrived in Florida on Thursday afternoon, New York Times reporter
Julie Davis tweeted. Davis also said that no senior staff accompanied the rich
asshole on his trip, and none would be meeting with him over the weekend.
Trump has arrived in West
Palm Beach on AF1. No senior staff were on board & we r told none r mtg him
at Mar-a-Lago this holiday wknd
the rich asshole’s
eldest son, some rich asshole Jr., also tweeted about his father’s arrival on
Air Force One, describing seeing his father land and deplane as a “surreal
experience even from a distance.”
Aside from the allegations of collusion with Russia, the
unwarranted accusations against President Obama, the unconstitutional executive
orders, and the recent attack on Syria, President the rich asshole’s travel
habits have been one of the most controversial aspects of his presidency.
The fact that the rich asshole is already on track to outspend
President Obama when it comes to travel is made worse by the fact that the rich
asshole was an outspoken critic of Obama’s travels and golf
games.
Below are just a few of the angry tweets the current President
posted about Obama’s golf games.
Can you believe that, with all of the problems and
difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.Worse
than Carter
While our wonderful president was out playing golf all
day, the TSA is falling apart, just like our government! Airports a total
disaster!
If Obama resigns from office NOW, thereby doing a great
service to the country—I will give him free lifetime golf at any one of my
courses!
When it comes to golf, President the rich asshole proved his
hypocrisy almost immediately after taking office. As POLITICO pointed out in February, the rich
asshole played his first round of golf earlier in his presidency than either
Obama or President George W. Bush. He hit the course for the first time after
just two weeks in office. Obama waited four months, and Bush waited
five-and-a-half.
So far, the number of times the President has visited
a golf course is higher than the number of weeks he’s been in office.
According to NBC’s Bradd Jaffy, this is the rich asshole’s 17th golf course
trip in the 12 weeks that he’s been president.
President Trump is again
at Trump International Golf Club in FL, per pool. It is his 17th golf course
trip since taking office 12 weeks ago.
In defense of the rich asshole’s multiple golf games, White
House Press Secretary Sean Spicer claimed last month that the President was using the game
of golf to make important deals. However, no specific information about the
kind of deals the rich asshole is making on the golf course has been revealed.

Barack Obama to visit
Angela Merkel in Berlin on same day Donald Trump meets Nato leaders in Brussels
Former
President and the German Chancellor
- his one-time 'closest ally' - to discuss democracy at historic
monument
The former US President will
travel to Germany for the launch of a summer of special events to mark the
500th anniversary of the Protestant church.
He will
arrive in Germany on the same day as his successor Donald
Trump is due in Brussels for a meeting with other NATO leaders – the first
scheduled foreign visit for the President since taking office.
Mr Obama is due to give a
speech in the German capital and take part in a discussion on democracy with Ms
Merkel, who he once called his “closest ally”.
You do not have access to view this Atom.
He and Ms Merkel will speak on
a purpose-built stage at the historic Brandenberg Gate, Berlin’s most
prominent monument, which stands as a symbol of the Iron Curtain and the end of
the Cold War when Germany was divided into East and West by the Berlin War.
In 2008, Ms Merkel
intervened to prevent then presidential candidate Obama from delivering a
speech at the Brandenberg Gate because she said she thought it would be
inappropriate to use the non-partisan symbol for political purposes – although
he was permitted to speak at the monument as President in 2013.
With the German general
election taking place in September, Ms Merkel is facing a tough battle to win a
fourth term as Chancellor and the joint appearance will be seen by some as a
bid to boost her chances.
Mr Obama has previously
endorsed Conservative Ms Merkel saying, “If I were German and I had a vote I’d
support her” in his final visit to Berlin as President last November.
He joked that he didn’t know if
that “helps or hurts”.
Tensions emerged in relations
between the US and Germany after it emerged that the National Security Council
had tapped the phones of Ms Merkel and other officials in the country, although
the two leaders continued to enjoy an apparently warm relationship.
In contrast, Mr Trump has been
publicly critical of the German Chancellor, particularly her willingness to
allow refugees into the country.
President Trump met with Ms
Merkel for the first time last month and is due to make his first official
visit to Germany for a meeting of the G20 leaders in Hamburg in July.
He was invited to Germany –
where he is a popular figure - by the bishop of Bavaria, Heinrich
Bedfor-Strohm.
“President Barack Obama’s
attending the Kirchentag in Berlin, which will ring in the Reformation Summer,
underlines the international character of our 500th anniversary celebrations,”
the bishop said in a statement.
"Anyone who is pious also
has to be politically minded,“ he added. "I am looking forward to
enthusiastic debates during the Reformation Summer 2017."
Mr Obama has never cited any
religious affiliation before, although he was a member of a Christian community
when he lived in Chicago and has said in the past that he occasionally consults
the bible for guidance.
After his appearance in Berlin,
Mr Obama is due to visit Scotland where he will address business leaders and
philanthropists at a dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
Number Of Casualties From ‘Mother Of All
Bombs’ Revealed – Get Ready (VIDEO)
By Caleb R. Newton -
April 14, 2017
Afghan officials have revealed that, in
addition to destroying Islamic State weapons caches and tunnel networks, the
Thursday usage of the “Mother of All Bombs” in Afghanistan by U.S. Armed Forces
left 36 IS fighters dead.
As the effects of the
bombing continue to be assessed, that death toll could rise. There is no
indication that civilians were killed in the attack, with Afghan officials
reporting that there is no civilian property anywhere near the MOAB detonation
site.
‘The attack
on a tunnel complex in remote eastern Afghanistan with the largest non-nuclear
weapon ever used in combat by the U.S. military left 36 Islamic State group
fighters dead and no civilian casualties, Afghanistan officials said
Friday… The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that several IS caves
and ammunition caches were destroyed by the giant bomb, which terrified
villagers on both sides of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border with its
“earsplitting blast.”‘
Thursday was the first time
that the Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), otherwise known
colloquially as the “Mother of All Bombs,” was used in a combat mission. It is
the largest non-nuclear weapon in the arsenal of the United States, and as CNN reports, its
size lends towards it being useful for “psychological operations.” It had never
before been used in combat before Thursday over fear of civilian casualties.
The MOAB’s Thursday usage
came after an American serviceman was killed in combat recently, as fighting
between U.S. forces and ISIS has intensified in the region. U.S. defense
officials say that the MOAB’s target was unapproachable on foot.
The blast from the bomb, which
carries 11 tons of explosives, was easily heard many miles away from the
detonation site, and that’s kind of the point. The weapon was designed to have
an acute destructive effect and to be an effective show of force on the part of
the United States.
Sure, there is the question
of whether or not “shows of force” are worth the tens of millions of dollars
that they cost these days, when at home Trump has proposed cutting funding for
very basic social programming like Meals on Wheels, but the usage of the MOAB
just goes to show you where the Trump Administration’s priorities lie. The
Trump administration would rather kill off just a few dozen foreign terrorists
than provide for untold numbers of poor Americans to have healthcare, food, or
the like.
Go figure.
Investigators now have ‘concrete
evidence’ of collusion between Trump camp and Russian govt: source
Facebook14.3KTwitterMore469
A source
close to the investigation into President Donald Trump’s campaign and its ties
to Russia says that there is now “specific concrete and corroborative evidence”
that individuals within Trump’s immediate orbit coordinated with Russian
intelligence operatives during the election.
The Guardian said on Thursday that the U.K.’s Government Communications
Headquarters (GCHQ) has been watching the Trump camp since late 2015, having
noticed suspicious “interactions” between Trump associates and well-known
Russian agents.
GCHQ
passed the information it had uncovered along to U.S. intelligence agencies as
part of the routine exchange of information and for the next six months until
summer of 2016, U.S intelligence agencies were receiving information about the
contacts from European agencies in Germany, Estonia and Poland.
More
information came in to U.S. hands from members of the “Five Eyes” alliance that
includes the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
“It is understood that GCHQ was at no point carrying out a
targeted operation against Trump or his team or proactively seeking
information,” the Guardian said.
“The alleged conversations were picked up by chance as part of routine
surveillance of Russian intelligence assets. Over several months, different
agencies targeting the same people began to see a pattern of connections that
were flagged to intelligence officials in the US.”
However, after carefully compiling the assembled intelligence,
one source close to the investigation said, “They now have specific concrete
and corroborative evidence of collusion. This is between people in the Trump
campaign and agents of [Russian] influence relating to the use of hacked
material.”
Sources close to the GCHQ told the Guardian that it looks like
U.S. intelligence agencies “were asleep” with regards to Russia and its
alliance with the Trump team.
“They [the European agencies] were saying: ‘There are contacts
going on between people close to Mr Trump and people we believe are Russian
intelligence agents. You should be wary of this,’” the source said. “The
message was: ‘Watch out. There’s something not right here.’”
U.S. spy agencies,
however, are forbidden from
spying on citizens without a warrant — warrants that are very difficult to
obtain.
“They are trained not to
do this,” the source said, which slowed down the time it took for U.S. agencies
to become aware of the threat and respond, which it did in the late summer of 2016.
Professor who predicted Trump’s election
says he’ll be impeached before 2018 — by Republicans
The professor who accurately
predicted President
Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory — and who now predicts that he will be impeached — said that he
doesn’t think Americans will have to wait for a Democratic Congress in 2018
before Trump is forced out of office.
Politico
spoke to Allan Lichtman about his
new book, The Case
for Impeachment, and why Lichtman believes that the president’s own party will
turn on him, enabling Congress to remove him from the White House.
Lichtman —
a professor of history at American University — said that Trump and members of
his transition team reached out to him after the election, but they only cared
about the first part of his prediction, that Trump would take the White House,
and ignored the follow-up prediction that he would not be allowed to serve a
full term.
“Taking time out of preparing to become the world’s most
powerful leader, he wrote me a personal note, saying ‘Professor — Congrats —
good call,’” says Lichtman in The Case
for Impeachment. “What Trump overlooked, however, was my ‘next big prediction’:
that, after winning the presidency, he would be impeached.”
Lichtman
himself is no fan of the president. He believes the Trump administration is not
just a threat to the U.S., but an “existential threat” to the human race.
“Trump’s policies and
appointments pose an existential threat to humanity,” he said in one section
of Case for Impeachment. Trump’s disregard of
geopolitical protocol and his ignorance on climate change are particularly
dangerous, Lichtman believes.
Many of the president’s critics are anxious for the 2018 midterm
elections, wherein some Democrats have pledged to take up impeachment as their
first priority should the majority of Congressional seats go to Democrats.
Lichtman says, however, they may not have to wait that long.
President Trump “threatens the institutions and traditions that
have made America safe and free for 230 years,” Lichtman wrote in the book’s
early chapters. “I’ll make clear why a Republican Congress might impeach a
president of its own party.”
This would come as welcome news to many of Trump’s opponents,
who feel that even a far-right Christian Pres. Mike Pence would be an
improvement over the chaotic and ill-informed Trump administration.
“Lichtman’s possible offenses that could get Trump to that point
are familiar: charges of treason with Russia, abuse of power and emoluments
violations,” said Politico. “Lichtman also cites now Attorney General Jeff
Sessions, then a senator, who argued that a president could be impeached for
offenses committed before he took office. Among those potential offenses,
Lichtman lists Trump’s housing violations, charity problems, potential
violations of the Cuba embargo and Trump University.”
Trump has potentially sown the seeds of his own undoing, the
book says, by setting a precedent of consistently lying under oath in the thousands
of lawsuits leveled against him over the years.
“Trump’s disregard for lying in sworn testimony, examined in the
context of the Bill Clinton precedent, shows how Trump’s opponents could set an
impeachment trap for him through a civil lawsuit,” the professor said.
At other points in the book, he discusses the history of
presidential impeachments in the U.S. and offers a list of improvement points
for Trump if he wants to avoid getting booted from office.
The president, he said, needs to fully divest himself of his
business interests, sign on to the Paris climate accord like his predecessor
Pres. Barack Obama, use a fact-checker, be more respectful to women and “add a
shrink to the White House physicians.”
The Case for Impeachment is
out next week.
the rich asshole made sure the media didn’t see him
sign a bill to cut Planned Parenthood funding
By Carter Sherman on Apr 13, 2017
President some rich asshole signed
a bill Thursday that will allow states to withhold federal funds from
organizations and facilities that provide abortion services, such as Planned
Parenthood.
And for a president fond of
spectacle, the signing was unusually private, with no media present.
The bill reverses a rule
enacted by Barack Obama, days before the end of his presidency, that barred
states from withholding state-managed Title X family planning funds — state
grants aimed at helping low-income individuals receive family planning services
at reduced or no cost — from health providers that offer abortions. The
reasoning was that those providers also often offer services like contraception
and screenings for sexually transmitted infections, and under the Obama-era
rule, states could only deny providers the grants if they could not actually
provide family planning services.
Crucially, the new measure also
does not keep abortion providers from receiving federal Medicaid
reimbursements, a policy option often referred to as “defunding” Planned
Parenthood. (It is already illegal to use taxpayer dollars to pay for
abortions, except in cases of rape, incest, or medical emergency.) But its
impact could still be immense, abortion rights groups say.
“Four million people depend on
the Title X family planning program, and by signing this bill, President the
rich asshole disregards their health and well-being,” Planner Parenthood
Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a statement condemning the signing. In the last six
years, at least 13 states that use Title X grants have approved limitations
that would keep abortion providers from participating in them, according to a Department of Health and Human Services report.
The bill passed only narrowly in Congress — Vice President
Mike Pence, the highest-ranking government official to ever attend the
anti-abortion March for Life, had to step in and cast a tie-breaking vote in
favor of the measure. Groups who oppose abortion have pointed to Pence’s action
as a sign that the rich asshole is keeping his campaign promises to restrict
abortion access.
“That allowed choice for the [states] on how they want to spend
healthcare dollars,” Kristi Hamrick, a spokesperson for Americans United for
Life, told VICE News before the signing. “That was a huge change, a huge
victory.”
the rich asshole has also
already set into motion several other measures to restrict abortion access,
such as slashing funding to the family planning agency the United
Nations Population Fund and reenacting the global gag rule.
the rich asshole Says He
May Freeze Subsidies to the Poor Until Democrats Repeal Obamacare
On
Wednesday, President the rich asshole announced that he plans to use the powers
of his office to jeopardize health-care access for millions of low-income
people, while destabilizing America’s insurance markets — because he believes
that voters will blame the ensuing chaos on the Democratic Party, leaving Chuck
Schumer desperate to negotiate with the White House over Obamacare repeal.
Ever
since his plan to finance a tax cut for the rich by throwing millions off Medicaid died
without a vote, the rich asshole has repeatedly assured the American people
that their health-care system will collapse under his watch.
It hasn’t always been clear whether this sentiment was intended as a prediction
of an event the rich asshole (wrongly) believed to be inevitable — or as a promise to bring
Obamacare down by any means necessary.
But in
a new interview with The Wall Street Journal,
the president essentially confesses to the latter intention — and he has
already settled on a means of sabotage.

2014, the House GOP sued the Obama White House over payments that the federal
government was making to insurers, in order to compensate them for the cost of
providing discounted deductibles to low-income Obamacare enrollees. Without
these “cost-sharing reductions,” fewer insurers would participate in the
Affordable Care Act and its markets would likely collapse.
House
Republicans argued that the payments were being made unconstitutionally,
without a congressional appropriation. Last May, a federal judge agreed — but she put her decision on hold while the Obama
administration appealed. Now, all the rich asshole has to do to trigger a
health-care crisis is withdraw that appeal. And he says he’s on the cusp of
doing just that, as the Journal reports:
In an interview in the
Oval Office, some rich asshole said the White House may lack authority to make
the payments established under his predecessor to reduce copayments and
deductibles for some of the poorest customers who buy insurance under the 2010
Affordable Care Act. Cutting off the payments could trigger turmoil in
insurance markets.
“I don’t want people to get hurt,” some rich asshole said. “What I think should happen—and will happen—is the Democrats will start calling me and negotiating.”
“I don’t want people to get hurt,” some rich asshole said. “What I think should happen—and will happen—is the Democrats will start calling me and negotiating.”
Shorter
the rich asshole: Nice affordable health care for the poor you got here, would
be a real shame if something happened to it.
There
are a couple obvious problems with this plan:
1) the
rich asshole’s hostage and his ransom are the same thing: He’s threatening to
cut off health-insurance subsidies for poor people if Democrats don’t vote for
his health-care plan, which significantly reduces health-insurance subsidies
for poor people.
2) It
will be hard to convince the public to blame Democrats for Obamacare’s destruction,
after you publicly declared your intention to destroy Obamacare so that people
would blame the Democrats for what you did.
Still,
according to the Journal, the rich asshole is seriously considering
the idea:
When the Journal asked if
he would agree even to release guidelines from which lawmakers could begin
writing tax legislation, some rich asshole said, simply, “No.” “I’m going to
get health care done,” some rich asshole said.
… Several times he steered the conversation back to the subsidies to health insurers, known as cost-sharing reductions, that help prop up the Obamacare.
…“Schumer should be calling me up and begging me to help him save Obamacare,” some rich asshole said about Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a fellow New Yorker. “He should be calling me and begging me to help him save Obamacare, along with Nancy Pelosi, ” the top Democrat in the House.
some rich asshole said Democrats should be motivated to find negotiate on health care because “they own Obamacare.”

The
president doesn’t want to shoot this hostage, but Democrats should be calling
him up and begging him not to shoot the hostage. They should be grateful for
the chance to negotiate a deal in which he merely cuts off all the hostage’s
fingers. After all, who is the public gonna blame for the hostage’s murder: the
people who loved it, or the guy with the gun shouting all of this through a
bullhorn?
Please Tell Me Jared Kushner Didn't Authorize The MOAB
Strike In Afghanistan
some rich asshole oddly refuses to confirm if he authorized the
bombing in Afghanistan, which raises serious questions about who the hell did.
Right off the bat, I hope I’m wrong. I hope that the first, one-step-shy-of-a-nuclear
bomb that the
United States just dropped on Afghanistan — not even a week after firing 50+
Tomahawk missiles at Syria , which is not an insignificant timing of events— is
simply another example of a no-holds-barred military that knows the gloves are off.
(Coming soon to America’s streets!) Because as much as the military
wants to deny that the rules of engagement haven't been lowered, in less than
90 days, this administration has already racked up a record number of civilian deaths, and oh,
by the way, just dropped the closest thing to a nuke. Kind of a big deal.
But here’s the thing: some rich asshole noticeably didn’t hump
bombing an "ISIS cave system" for ratings like he did for Syria. In
fact, he did his usual kid in class who clearly didn’t read the homework
routine — which trickled down to Sean
Spicer, as it often does— and has refused to confirm if he personally signed off on the strike, according
to CNN. Again, an unusual move for a president who learned not even a week ago
that cable news will drop to its
knees the second
he blows something up.
So if not the rich asshole - who visibly had no clue what just
happened - then who authorized the strike? Or at the very least, arranged for
the military to have "total authorization"
to do whatever it wants. Who’s recently, and terrifyingly, been tasked with “solving the Middle East” and is already being viewed
by military officials as a direct pipeline to the president, or in some circles,
as the actual president?
Who would be cocky enough to apply corporate thinking to a multifaceted situation and try to show
results to his “boss” as quickly as possible — "efficiently," he’d
probably say — by any Means necessary?
God fucking help us if I’m right.
the rich asshole is Now Considering Punishing The Poor
Until Democrats Agree to Kill Obamacare
This is astonishingly cruel, even for some rich asshole.
After failing to pass the cack-handed health care bill he didn't
write (or bother reading), some rich asshole is still not done with Obamacare.
In a new attempt to dismantle his predecessors signature piece of legislation
responsible for insuring tens of millions of Americans, the rich asshole is
using his famed negotiating tactics to bully Democrats with the unthinkable:
cutting off government payments to reduce insurance subsidies for the
poor. Reports the Wall St Journal:
In an interview in the Oval Office,
some rich asshole said the White House may lack authority to make the payments
established under his predecessor to reduce copayments and deductibles for some

“I don’t want people to get hurt,” some rich asshole said. “What I think should happen—and will happen—is the Democrats will start calling me and negotiating.”
As NY Mag's Eric Levitzs translates,
"Nice affordable health care for the poor you got here, would be a real
shame if something happened to it."
The Journal continued:
“Schumer should be calling me up and
begging me to help him save Obamacare,” some rich asshole said about Senate

some rich asshole said Democrats should be motivated to find negotiate on health care because “they own Obamacare.”
some rich asshole said Democrats should be motivated to find negotiate on health care because “they own Obamacare.”
There are a couple of points worth making here. Firstly, What.
The. Fuck. Threatening to use the most vulnerable Americans as a bargaining
tool is beyond cruel -- it is an affront to human dignity. the rich asshole is
so desperate to undo the policy he centered his campaign on destroying that he
is willing to actually get people killed. Should the government not fulfill its
requirements under the ACA millions of people stand to lose their health care
as they will not be able to make their monthly payments. As the American
Journal of Public Health reported, uninsured, working-age
Americans have a 40 percent higher death risk than those with insurance.
Secondly, if some rich asshole thinks this is going to work, he's
even stupider than anyone could possibly imagine. The notion that the
Democrats will take the fall for his rank incompetence and colossal political
failures is simply preposterous. Obamacare's popularity has surged after the rich asshole's election and more people have signed up for it this year than ever. While
the rich asshole and the GOP insists it is the mother of all disasters, the
public's perception of it couldn't be more diametrically opposed. The Democrats
are not going to begging anyone to cut a deal -- they own Obamacare and are
extremely happy to do so. If the rich asshole genuinely wants to stop paying
the subsidies, the Democrats will make it abundantly clear that he is the one
responsible for it. This would be political suicide for the rich asshole who is
already polling at disastrous levels, and it would allow the Democrats to
control the narrative over health care once and for all
BUSTED: the rich asshole caught
blatantly lying about whether he knew Steve Bannon before the 2016 campaign
President some rich
asshole told the New York Post on Tuesday that he had never met top political
strategist Steve Bannon before Bannon came on to work
on his presidential campaign last year.
“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in
my campaign until very late,” the rich asshole said. “I had already beaten all
the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own
strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing
crooked Hillary.”
However, PolitiFact has found that the rich asshole’s claim to have
not known Bannon until last year is completely at odds with what he said when
he first announced he was bringing Bannon and top adviser Kellyanne Conway on
board to run his campaign.
“I have known Steve and Kellyanne both for many years,”‘ the
rich asshole said at the time. “They are extremely capable, highly qualified
people who love to win and know how to win.”
Additionally, PolitiFact points
to a report from Real Clear
Politics’ Rebecca Berg that claims the rich
asshole first met Bannon in 2011, while also noting that the rich asshole
appeared on Bannon’s talk radio program at least nine different times before
Bannon came aboard as his campaign manager.
‘Blindsided’ Steve Bannon is

What’s more, they say that Bannon is “laying low” for the time

interview with the New York Post.
Bannon has frequently

Gary Cohn, as well as with the rich asshole son-in-law Jared Kushner. These
battles came to a head last week when Bannon was ousted from his position at
the National Security Council, and his old website Breitbart
News began publishing articles attacking Kushner.
Going after the rich asshole’s son-in-law might not have been
the wisest move for Bannon, however, as the rich asshole for the time being has
sided with his family over his top political strategist.

the rich asshole hammers FBI’s
Comey for not jailing Clinton: ‘She was guilty of every charge’
President some rich asshole is not happy with FBI Director James
Comey for not arresting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In an interview with Fox Business, host Maria Bartiromo claimed
that many people don’t understand why there are still so many appointees or
staff from President Barack Obama’s administration. She was specifically
talking about Comey. Still, the rich asshole expressed confidence in the
embattled director.
“When Jim Comey came out, he saved Hillary Clinton. He saved her
life,” referring to Comey’s declaration that he would not be charging Clinton
with a crime.
“When he was reading those charges, she was guilty of every
charge, and then he said she was essentially OK,” the rich asshole continued.
Yet, when it comes to the investigation into the the rich asshole
campaign and Russia, the rich asshole still has confidence in Comey.
He went on to complain about the obstruction in Congress and
pesky things like “the law” that blocks him from doing what he’d like to do. “I
wish they’d explain better the obstructionist nature,” he said.
When it comes to
former Obama advisor Susan Rice, the rich asshole continued to claim she
ordered the unmasking of the name of the American being investigated. These
unmaskings are part of the responsibilities of

they did is horrible.”

Some rich asshole’s son
Eric the rich asshole told the Telegraph he’s “sure” his sister, Ivanka the
rich asshole, played a role in the president of the United States deciding to
attack a Syrian air base.
“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m
sure she said: ‘Listen, this is horrible stuff,’” Eric said of the Bashar
al-Assad regime’s attack on Syrian civilians last Tuesday. Experts say Assad’s
regime likely deployed sarin gas in an assault that killed at least 70 people. The
horrible images prompted some rich asshole to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles
against the country.
“My father will act in
times like that,” Eric the rich asshole told the Telegraph. “And
by the way, he was anti doing anything with Syria two years ago. Then a leader
gasses their own people, women and children. At some point America is the

did with a lot of support of our allies and I think that’s a great thing.”

Organization alongside brother Don the rich asshole Jr., said he stays “out of

burning, who wasn’t deeply affected by what happened over there,” Eric the rich
asshole continued. “It was horrible. These guys are savages and I’m glad he
responded the way he responded.”

Anne Frank Center calls on Trump to fire Sean Spicer: ‘He engaged in Holocaust denial’

This Tuesday, the Anne Frank Center called for White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to be fired, after he made statements that seemed to show a less-than-apt understanding of the horrors of the Holocaust.
In a Facebook post this Tuesday, the Center’s executive director Steven Goldstein said Spicer “lack the integrity” to serve as press secretary.
“On Passover no less, Sean Spicer has engaged in Holocaust denial, the most offensive form of fake news imaginable, by denying Hitler gassed millions of Jews to death.”
“Spicer’s statement is the most evil slur upon a group of people we have ever heard from a White House press secretary,” Goldstein said, adding, “President Trump must fire him at once.”
During a press briefing this Tuesday, Spicer mentioned Hitler in
an analogy while discussing the recent chemical attack on civilians allegedly
carried out by the Syrian government.
“You had someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn’t even sink
to using chemical weapons,” Spicer said during the briefing. Hitler used
cyanide gas to kill millions of Jews and other prisoners during the
Holocaust. Later in the briefing, Spicer tried to clarify his comments.
“When it comes to Sarin gas, [Hitler] was not using the gas on
his own people the same way that Assad is doing,” he said.
‘Stupid’ Doesn’t Even BEGIN To Describe How Sean Spicer Just Changed History
Today, Sean Spicer was talking on the subject of Syria and chemical weapons when he said something really, really f*cking stupid about Adolf Hitler.
The question was about what makes the Trump administration so sure President Vladimir Putin will denounce all support of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad over his use of chemical weapons. Rather than answer that question, Spicey had to spice it up and gave the dumbest answer in the history of White House press secretaries.
You look, we didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II. You know, you had a, someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.
Hurr durr. WHAT!?
Pretty sure the use of Zyklon-B and gassings by carbon monoxide count as chemical weapons, smart guy. And I’m pretty sure 6 million dead Jews will disagree that Hitler wasn’t that bad. Is Spicer serious? Is he a holocaust denier or just really stupid? Maybe both.
What is abundantly clear, is the administration can’t ever seem to distance themselves from accusations that they are living Nazis and Spicer’s answer today will not help that image.
Trump Responds To The School Shooting In San Bernardino In Exactly The Way You’d Expect
On Monday, a gunman walked into North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino, California and opened fire. In the end he killed himself, his estranged wife, an 8-year-old boy and injured one more child. In the past whenever there has been a school shooting, the president of the United States, makes some sort of statement to let the families of the victims, and the country know, that he is thinking about them. I can’t recall the number of times President Obama stood at a podium and mourned with us all. But as we all know, Trump is no Obama.
As of this writing, the president of the United States has made no statement regarding the brutal shooting. We looked at his Twitter account thinking that maybe he said something there, but all we found was more of the same Cheeto nonsense. He congratulated his stolen SCOTUS appointee. He wished everyone a happy Passover and then he retweeted a silly article by Fox News that stroked his sad, pathetic ego:
Grateful Syrians React To @realDonaldTrump Strike: 'I'll Name My Son Donald' http://bit.ly/2oQbg6I #SyrianStrikes
After that there are a series of China tweets and then nothing. His @POTUS account is more of the same. And WhiteHouse.gov has no mention of the shooting in the “Briefing Room”:
He completely ignored the shooting and we are not the only ones who noticed:
@foxnation @realDonaldTrump Were you gonna say something about the school shooting that killed a teacher and an 8 year old in CA yesterday or nah?#TuesdayThoughts
Dear @realDonaldTrump,
You're eerily silent about the shooting at San Bernardino elementary school. NRA took your phone?
Signed,
America

Signed,
America
@realDonaldTrump …or by "honor" do you mean honoring them the same way you "honor" war vets, people with disabilities, victims of sexual assault, etc.?
@realDonaldTrump Are you going to condemn the (Christian) terrorist responsible for today's school shooting in San Bernardino? Not all terrorists are Muslim…
Sadly, the reason he is ignoring it is probably because he can’t exploit it. Back in 2015, when San Bernardino experienced a terrible mass shooting, he responded right away:
California shooting looks very bad. Good luck to law enforcement and God bless. This is when our police are so appreciated!
Why? Well, because the shooters were Muslim…DUH! And make no mistake, if the shooter had been Muslim yesterday, Trump would have been all over that. He would have used it to justify his Muslim ban and attack more judges. He would have walked out to a podium and said “MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN” and all of the other bullsh*t he spews when he knows he can drum up fear. Instead, however, he just ignored that it happened and left it to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to offer the usual “thoughts and prayers” that don’t do a goddamn thing to protect our children from dying at school. Real presidential, right?
Trump Woke Up At 5am & Threatened North Korea On Twitter Like A Deranged Madman
By Gloria Christie -
North Korea is in Donald Trump’s eyesight, and he is playing chicken with an unpredictable Kim Jong-un. The president of this small nation not only pipes anti-American propaganda into his people’s homes to generate hatred against America, he has amassed a huge military. Then, there is the really bad foreign policy news.
Early Tuesday morning, Trump made international news with his latest tweet:
‘North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.’
North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.
Nations less than friendly with the U.S. traditionally test every new president who walks into office. Kim Jong-un did, too, but his missile launches come with the threat of nuclear war. As Trump verbally duels with this warlike nation, he is dealing with a man who may have killed his own half-brother.
It is within possibility the North Korean president would make good on his threats.
China’s president had just visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort weekend. Trump tried to use his self-acclaimed deal-making skills to woo China’s Xi Jinping. However, it may not have gone well.
RUSSIAN HACKER’S WIFE: HE WAS ARRESTED BECAUSE HIS COMPUTER VIRUS ‘WAS RELATED TO TRUMP’S VICTORY’
Posted by April Hamlin on 10 Apr 2017
A Russian hacker was arrested over the weekend, and according to his wife, the reason he finds himself behind bars is tied directly to Donald Trump’s unexpected election win.
Pyotr Levashov, a Russian computer programmer, was arrested in the Spanish city of Barcelona on Friday after a U.S. international warrant had been issued. The Department of Justice has not yet commented on his arrest, with spokesman Peter Carr saying only that “the U.S. case remains under seal, so we have no information to provide at this time.”
But his Levashov’s wife, however, says that the warrant was issued for her husband’s arrest because “the virus” he “allegedly created was related to Trump’s victory in the elections.”
I asked for a warrant or some papers, they said they showed them to my husband,” Maria Levashov told RT. “With my husband, I talked in the commissariat by phone, he said that he was shown some piece of paper in Spanish without a seal and his photo in poor quality. Something was said about the fact that the virus my husband allegedly created was related to Trump’s victory in the elections.”
Maria claims that the police questioned her and a friend for two hours after bursting into their home on the night of his arrest. She said that the court in Barcelona held a meeting with Madrid via Skype, where it was decided that her husband would be kept in a Barcelona prison for the time being. She is currently in Spain, searching for an attorney.
Wife Of Arrested Russian Hacker Just Spoke Out, And Trump Is Shaking In His Boots
The wife of a Russian hacker who was arrested in Spain has spoken out, confirming that her husband, Pyotr Levashov, was (allegedly) involved in hacking our election.
“I asked for a warrant or some papers, they said they showed them to my husband,” Maria Levashova says. “With my husband, I talked to the commissariat by phone, he said that he was shown some piece of paper in Spanish without a seal and his photo in poor quality. Something was said about the fact that the virus my husband allegedly created was related to Trump’s victory in the elections.”
Levashov, better recognized as “Peter Severa” and “Peter of the North” in hacking circles, is well-known in the cybercrime community. Krebs on Security reports:
According to numerous stories here at KrebsOnSecurity, Levashov was better known as “Severa,” the hacker moniker used by a pivotal figure in many Russian-language cybercrime forums. Severa was the moderator for the spam subsection of multiple online communities, and in this role served as the virtual linchpin connecting virus writers with huge spam networks — including some that Severa allegedly created and sold himself.
Levashov is currently listed as #7 in the the world’s Top 10 Worst Spammers list maintained by anti-spam group Spamhaus. The U.S. Justice Department maintains that Severa was the Russian partner of Alan Ralsky, a convicted American spammer who specialized in “pump-and-dump” spam schemes designed to artificially inflate the value of penny stocks.
Levashov allegedly went by the aliases Peter Severa and Peter of the North (Pyotr is the Russian form of Peter). My reporting indicates that — in addition to spamming activities — Severa was responsible for running multiple criminal operations that paid virus writers and spammers to install “fake antivirus” software. So-called “fake AV” uses malware and/or programming tricks to bombard the victim with misleading alerts about security threats, hijacking the PC until its owner either pays for a license to the bogus security software or figures out how to remove the invasive program.
There is ample evidence that Severa is the cybercriminal behind the Waledac spam botnet, a spam engine that for several years infected between 70,000 and 90,000 computers and was capable of sending approximately 1.5 billion spam messages a day.
In 2010, Microsoft launched a combined technical and legal sneak attack on the Waledac botnet, successfully dismantling it. The company would later do the same to the Kelihos botnet, a global spam machine which shared a great deal of computer code with Waledac.
The connection between Waledac/Kelihos and Severa is supported by data leaked in 2010 after hackers broke into the servers of pharmacy spam affiliate program SpamIt. According to the stolen SpamIt records, Severa — this time using the alias “Viktor Sergeevich Ivashov” — brought in revenues of $438,000 and earned commissions of $145,000 spamming rogue online pharmacy sites over a 3-year period.
Severa also was a moderator of Spamdot.biz (pictured in the first screenshot above), a vetted, members-only forum that at one time attracted almost daily visits from most of Russia’s top spammers. Leaked Spamdot forum posts for Severa indicate that he hails from Saint Petersburg, Russia’s second-largest city.
Sevara is currently in custody in Barcelona, but is subject to an extradition request by the United States. Spanish news website El Confidencial also confirms that the arrest was related to hacking that helped Donald Trump ‘win’ the election.
With Trump screaming FAKE NEWS every time new facts come out about his collusion with Vladimir Putin to take the Oval Office by any means necessary — even if it does involve some Russian hackers, an aggressive propaganda campaign, and probably a couple Russian pee pee hookers — this news is not good for him. We can fully expect a meltdown on some sort on Twitter as soon as Breitbart reports on the arrest.
Trump Halts SCOTUS Ceremony & Says The Dumbest Thing Possible
By Georgia Bristow -
On Monday President Donald Trump used Neil Gorsuch’s swearing in as Supreme Court Justice as an opportunity to point out how great of a job he’s doing.
Following Monday’s ceremony, during which Judge Neil Gorsuch was sworn in as next Supreme Court Justice, Donald Trump took the opportunity to pat himself on the back for what he considers a major domestic success on his part.
While speaking to guests, reporters and White House aides alike, in the White House Rose Garden, Trump said:
‘And I got it done in the first 100 days — that’s even nice. You think that’s easy?’
The weirdness of that statement can’t be understated. The fact that Trump felt the need to steal Gorsuch’s thunder, is not at all surprising. The president is so insecure that he has to ride this victory till the wheels fall off.
Trump did take a moment to recognize the importance of the moment, by sticking to the script, saying
‘This ceremony has special meaning as Justice Gorsuch is filling the seat of one of the greater Supreme Court judges in American history, and that’s Antonin Scalia, who is a terrific — was a terrific judge and a terrific person. Justice Scalia was a patriot who revered our Constitution. He was beloved by many, very many, who are here today, and he is deeply missed by all of us.’
Trump’s time in the White House so far has not been as successful. The GOP healthcare plan, meant to repeal and replace Obamacare, went down in flames. The executive orders that the president signed limiting travel from select Muslim majority countries also didn’t last and has been shot down, despite an attempt to reinstate it on Trump’s part.
Still, despite the string of failures, Trump supporters and the Trump administration see Gorsuch being confirmed as Trump following through with his campaign promise. For them, this is definitely a win for Trump and his administration, marking the only victory he’s had in his first 100 days in office.
Democracy Has Stood Up to the rich asshole
But it’s far too early to declare Trumpism dead.
By Yascha Mounk
some rich asshole has only been in office 79 days. And yet he has already dug himself into such a deep hole that a large number of commentators are declaring victory—or ridiculing the idea that there was ever good reason to worry about him in the first place.
Writing in New York, Jonathan Chait argues that the rich asshole’s popularity is likely to fall further still, leaving Republicans to pay a heavy price in the coming years:
the rich asshole mortgaged everything to win the election by making promises that he lacked any remotely practical plan to fulfill. The gains for him and his party will be scant, and the political costs of obtaining them high. … By the time the rich asshole has departed the Oval Office, they will look longingly at a staid, boxed-in Clinton presidency as a road not taken.
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page, crestfallen at the Republicans’ failure to repeal Obamacare, is consoling itself with attacks on scholars who pointed out the risks of a the rich asshole presidency:
Not too long ago our leading media lights were using Mussolini and Hitler analogies to describe the new American President’s threat to “democratic norms.” … So much for all that. The real story of the the rich asshole Presidency so far is that the normal checks and balances of the American system are working almost to a fault. … His Presidency is young, and perhaps some rich asshole will still find his bearings and make some progress on his reform agenda. We can’t say the same about the lost credibility of the many worthies who sold American institutions short while predicting fascist doom.
So have people like me, who have long warned that American democracy might be in danger, come down with a bad case of the rich asshole Derangement Syndrome? Is it time for us “worthies” to get over our collective freak-out?
No, we haven’t. And no, it isn’t. It’s true that there’s been some good news over the last months. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking a moment to celebrate our successes—if only because we owe them to the millions of courageous citizens who have been doing their bit to stop one of the scariest moments in American history from turning into its most tragic.
Here’s a list of the positives:
With impressive speed, a massive protest movement has emerged against the rich asshole. #TheResistance is hard at work calling attention to the worst actions and policies of the administration. So long as this movement can remain energized for the coming years, it will be an important bulwark against a potential power grab by the executive. With a bit of luck, it might even help Democrats win back the House or the Senate in 2018.
More broadly, checks and balances are, for now, holding up reasonably well. The judiciary has done a great job at reining the rich asshole in. Though they have repeatedly drawn the president’s ire, the country’s judges show no sign of being cowed by him. Federal courts have halted two executive orders on immigration and seem likely to take an active role in curtailing executive overreach in the coming years.
The executive branch, whose functioning could most easily be sabotaged by decrees from the White House, has so far preserved its independence as well: The intelligence community has resisted pressures to alter its findings to protect the president from allegations of collusion with Russia. The FBI is investigating the rich asshole. For now, the neutrality of key state institutions remains on full display.
Finally, though Republicans control both houses of Congress, even the legislature has frustrated the rich asshole at multiple turns. Democrats in the House stood united against the GOP health care plan. Democrats in the Senate stood united against confirming Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. While those parts of the far left who seem to hate moderate Democrats more than they hate extremist Republicans like to accuse Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer of being cynical corporate shills who never find the courage to stand up for anything, their determination has, over the last months, been clear to anybody who cared to take a look.
The story is, unsurprisingly, a lot more bleak when you look at congressional Republicans. Some, like Devin Nunes, have demonstrated that they are willing to stoop to any low, and to break any democratic norm, to support their president. Many, like Paul Ryan, have made occasional noises of displeasure before falling into lockstep whenever it comes down to an actual vote. Only a few, like John McCain and Ben Sasse, have criticized the rich asshole in clear terms, and indicated that they might—at some as yet unknown point in the ever-receding future—be willing to walk their talk. But while courage mostly continues to be missing in action among GOP officeholders, the incongruence of their ideological coalition has so far been just as effective in frustrating the rich asshole’s most ambitious plans.
the rich asshole has mostly blamed the failure of the American Health Care Act on a small band of legislators from the deeply conservative House Freedom Caucus. But resistance from the Coverage Caucus, made up of Republicans from swing districts who refused to vote for the bill because it would have taken away health care from many of their constituents, were just as important a reason for its failure. This both spells trouble for the current attempt to revive health care reform—since any attempt to buy the votes of the Freedom Caucus is likely to grow the ranks of the Coverage Caucus—and gives a preview of the difficulties the rich asshole will face in passing other legislative priorities.
But there’s also been plenty of bad news. This of course includes lots and lots and lots (and lots and lots) of terrible laws and executive orders—from employment to the environment—that will make the lives of millions of people worse. But it’s not just policy; I’m still worried about the effects that the rich asshole’s presidency will have on basic democratic norms as well.
For one, the rich asshole has effectively demolished the safeguards that are supposed to ensure that citizens do not profit financially from holding office. Since he has neither released his tax returns nor established a blind trust, we cannot know which of his policies are intended to boost his private wealth—or what foreign powers might hold considerable sway over him. There is every reason to fear that he may be profiting from the office he holds or changing his foreign policy to please his creditors. Even if he’s not, his example will make it easier for officeholders at all levels to engage in corrupt practices in the future.
For another, the rich asshole’s rhetoric continues to violate every basic norm of decency and democracy: Even as president, the rich asshole has spread blatant lies; undermined the press; attacked judges who ruled against him, implied that political adversaries from Susan Rice to Hillary Clinton should be behind bars; and endorsed authoritarian strongmen from Russia’s Vladimir Putin to Egypt’s Abdel el-Sisi. In the rich asshole’s campaign, the one constant was that he sounded like a would-be dictator. And as president, the one constant is that the rich asshole sounds like a would-be dictator.
And then, of course, there is the sheer impulsiveness of his administration. A few days ago, the rich asshole seemed to indicate that he was willing to leave Bashar al-Assad in office in Syria. On Thursday, the rich asshole started to bomb Assad’s troops. If a major shift in foreign policy announced on a Monday is superseded by an even more radical shift in foreign policy carried out on a Thursday, the past actions of the the rich asshole administration seem to have little predictive value for the future. So while the rich asshole has mostly refrained from running roughshod over independent institutions in his first seventy-seven days in office, it would be naïve to think that he might not decide to do so in the years to come.
So what does all of this add up to? There are now two paths forward. On the optimistic scenario, the rich asshole will continue to lie, to break democratic norms, and even to benefit his own businesses. But despite his outrageous rhetoric, he will respect the functioning of independent institutions. When a court strikes down his executive order, he will tweet angrily—and comply. When Congress thwarts his plans, he will blame Paul Ryan—and move on to see the next item on his agenda falter.
Even on this optimistic scenario, the damage will be real. But it will not be beyond recovery. There’s also the pessimistic scenario, however. In this scenario, the rich asshole will get increasingly frustrated by the media, by the courts, by Congress, and by the FBI. His extreme rhetoric will make more and more of his supporters willing to attack independent institutions head-on. And when some big crisis comes along—a terrorist attack, perhaps, or a confrontation with a foreign power—he will start to ignore checks and balances: Claiming that terrorists were somehow aided by the media or by the judges or by Congress, he will expand libel laws or pack the Supreme Court or pass executive orders that vastly outstrip the bounds of his rightful authority.
In countries like Russia and Turkey, the warning signs were there from the beginning. But though their democratic institutions had always been weaker than they are here in the United States, it took Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan a long time to consolidate their power—and even longer for observers to recognize that they were well on their way toward becoming dictators. Three months into their rule, each one of them was celebrated as a big chance for democracy by mainstream American publications from the New York Times Magazine to, yes, the Wall Street Journal.
All in all, I am a little more optimistic now than I was a few months ago. So far, the rich asshole really has proven to be all outrageous talk and no real action. As Chait points out, the chances that Democrats might beat him handily in 2020 and banish his noxious influence from our political system are higher now than they were a few short months ago. But by the same token, it is about four years minus 79 days too soon to declare victory. The danger the rich asshole represents for American democracy is far from banished.

President some rich asshole may be considering to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as nuclear threats from the reclusive country continues to be on the rise. According to recent reports, U.S. National Security Council suggested the rich asshole that either assassinating Kim or deploying nuclear weapons in South Korea could help end the potential war in the Korean Peninsula.
One option “is to target and kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and other senior leaders in charge of the country’s missiles and nuclear weapons and decision-making,” NBC news reported, quoting multiple top-ranking intelligence and military officials.
The report was followed by news that a U.S. aircraft carrier, which was scheduled for a port call in Australia, has moved towards the Korean Peninsula amid growing concerns of a nuclear threat from North Korea.
A U.S. defense official said Saturday that the strike group will provide a show of presence in the region.
Moving the carrier strike group was a “prudent measure to maintain readiness and presence in the Western Pacific,” Dave Benham, a spokesman for U.S. Pacific Command, reportedly said. “The number one threat in the region continues to be North Korea, due to its reckless, irresponsible, and destabilizing program of missile tests and pursuit of a nuclear weapons capability.”
North Korea has continued its threat against the U.S. and South Korea despite several warnings from the international community. In March, North Korea carried out two ballistic missile tests. The reclusive country has so far conducted five suspected nuclear tests, including two last year. Analysts believe that a possible sixth nuclear test is being planned by Pyongyang for April 15, which is the 105th birthday of North Korea’s founding president.
On Saturday, the rich asshole and South Korea’s acting President Hwang Kyo-Ahn spoke by phone, agreeing in close contact about North Korea and other issues.
China mocks the rich asshole missile strike after Xi leaves US: ‘A weakened politician who needed to flex his muscles’
China’s state-run news agency waited for President Xi Jinping to leave the U.S. before unleashing criticism on President some rich asshole’s Syrian missile strike.
Although President Xi was visiting Mar-a-Lago when the rich asshole ordered the strike on a Syrian air base, Xinhua waited until China’s president was safely out of the country before mocking the military action.
“Xinhua, the state news agency, on Saturday called the strike the act of a weakened politician who needed to flex his muscles,” The New York Times reported. “In an analysis, Xinhua also said some rich asshole had ordered the strike to distance himself from Syria’s backers in Moscow, to overcome accusations that he was ‘pro-Russia.'”
Over the weekend, the rich asshole declared that the two leaders “made tremendous progress”
“I just want to say that President Xi and all of his representatives have been really interesting to be with,” the U.S. president said following the meeting. “I believe lots of very potentially bad problems will be going away.”
‘This is not going well’: Ex-CIA officer says ‘enormous consequences’ may follow the rich asshole’s Syria attack
Former CIA operative and intelligence analyst Robert Baer told CNN on Saturday night that President some rich asshole’s administration has no idea how complicated the situation in Syria is and that our nation is rushing headlong into a “quagmire” of unintended consequences by engaging the country militarily.
“How confident are you that President the rich asshole will stick with this apparently new position on Syria now?” anchor Ana Cabrera asked Baer.
“It seems to me a big shift here, this attacking Syria,” said Baer. “We’ve never done that before in Syria’s history, period. We’ve always avoided that country.”
“There is an ethnic sectarian division there,” he explained, ” that we were always afraid to touch. This goes back to World War II, in fact. The French could never control that country. And, again, I go back to the fact that Bashar al Assad is a spokesman for the Alawite minority. You can remove him today and you might get somebody that’s much worse.”
He went on, “I don’t think this administration, the the rich asshole administration, understands the complexity of Syria. We are heading into a quagmire of enormous consequences with Iran and Russia on the ground. This is not going well.”
State Department officials and others have warned that without a coherent strategy, Thursday night’s attack was merely “fancy fireworks.” However, the the rich asshole administration has not announced what its policy or strategy decisions will be going forward.
some rich asshole personally profited from missile-maker Raytheon’s stock jump after his Syria attack
While the world is dealing with both the implications and the fall-out from President some rich asshole’s missile attack on a Syrian airfield on Thursday, the manufacturer of the Tomahawk missile used in the attack is seeing their stock surge which is good news for their investors — including the president.
As noted by the Palmer Report, the rich asshole owns stock in Raytheon, which was reported by Business Insider in 2015.
According to the rich asshole’s financial disclosure reports filed with the FEC in 2015, his stock portfolio includes investments in technology firms, financial institutions and defense firms, including Raytheon.
On Thursday, the rich asshole launched an attack on the al-Shayrat military airfield, used by both Syrian and Russian military forces, hitting it with 59 Tomahawk missiles manufactured by Raytheon. the rich asshole’s attack on Syria was reportedly in response to a deadly gas attack launched by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against his own people earlier in the week.
While the Tomahawk attack did little damage to the airfield — with the Syrian air force continuing to launch assaults from the same base on Friday — investors, sensing an increasing escalation in tensions between two countries and the possibility of war , pushed Raytheon stock up.
Since taking office, the rich asshole has refused to divulge all of his financial information — including his income taxes — and refused to place his business and financial holdings in a blind trust allowing the rich asshole and his family to move money and investments around as they see fit.
