September 30th, 2017 - October 1st, 2017. 320-322 days since the Nov 8, 2016, election of some rich asshole, no.45, and 252-254 days since the Jan 20th inauguration.

Again, these are AMERICAN citizens he is talking about.
If some rich asshole had treated Texas and Florida the way he is treating Puerto Rico right now, there would be riots in the streets and massive protests in front of the White House.
But apparently, people don’t seem to understand that the people of Puerto Rico are American citizens who should be given the same respect and treatment that Texans and Floridians received after hurricanes slammed their states.
the rich asshole has not done that so far. Not only was he too slow in responding because he focused more on trying to force NFL players to stand during the national anthem, he has not sent nearly enough troops or equipment or supplies to Puerto Rico. And he is insulting them to add insult to injury.
the rich asshole has taken to Twitter to constantly brag about the recovery operation despite his response being worse than President George W. Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina. Puerto Rico was devastated by two Category 5 hurricanes, yet less water and food has been sent to the island.
When the rich asshole’s administration tried to frame the disaster as a “good news story,” San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz fired back by pointing out that people are dying. the rich asshole threw a temper tantrum in response and suggested that Puerto Ricans are lazy people who won’t help themselves.
On Sunday morning, the rich asshole lashed out again. While bragging about the recovery effort as if it’s the best recovery effort in history, the rich asshole congratulated himself and called Puerto Ricans who criticize the weak effort “ingrates.”

We have done a great job with the almost impossible situation in Puerto Rico. Outside of the Fake News or politically motivated ingrates,...

...people are now starting to recognize the amazing work that has been done by FEMA and our great Military. All buildings now inspected.....

...for safety. Thank you to the Governor of P.R. and to all of those who are working so closely with our First Responders. Fantastic job!

Again, the rich asshole’s response to the crisis in Puerto Rico could be much better and it’s certainly not as good as he thinks it has been. Furthermore, the rich asshole insulted Puerto Ricans again. While Mayor Cruz is working to save lives, the rich asshole is busy golfing and rage-tweeting. He is enraged because he thinks brown people should be grateful for what little help he has provided. That’s a totally unacceptable way to treat American citizens. Period.

the rich asshole Tries Shaming NFL With Video Of Hockey Fans Standing For Anthem And Humiliates Himself

After an epic Twitter tantrum in which he yelled at Puerto Rico for being knocked down by two hurricanes and cried giant crocodile tears about “fake news,” the rich asshole decided he’d try shaming the NFL with a video from an NHL game. At that game, the audience stands up and sings the national anthem. One might think that this just happened, but it didn’t. The video in question is almost a year old.

The original video is on NHL on NBC Sports’ Facebook page, dated Nov. 9, 2016. The day after the election that gave us this walking shitshow to begin with. Why does this matter? Because the rich asshole is still going on about NFL players kneeling during the anthem on Twitter. Earlier today, in the midst of all the ranting about nobody giving him his due credit for the farce of a relief effort in Puerto Rico, he tweeted this:

Very important that NFL players STAND tomorrow, and always, for the playing of our National Anthem. Respect our Flag and our Country!

He brought the issue into sharp relief last week when he went on a tear about “disrespect” to the flag and called on NFL owners to fire players who won’t stand. Many NFL players retaliated by kneeling, the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t even come out of the locker room, and many owners issued statements rebuking the rich asshole in one way or another.
So the rich asshole, in an attempt to shame what the NFL is doing now, shares a video that’s a year old. In truth, the NHL seems rather split on how they feel about kneeling during the national anthem. There are, however, several players and coaches who believe it’s everyone’s right to protest how they see fit, as part of the First Amendment. the rich asshole just embarrassed the hell out of himself.

the rich asshole Stopped Golf, Signed Onto Twitter, & Posted A Multi-Tweet Afternoon Freakout

It’s no secret that the new president cannot handle even the slightest criticism, so is it any surprise that criticism over his failure to address the suffering and devastation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria has him ready to explode?

Despite the Fake News Media in conjunction with the Dems, an amazing job is being done in Puerto Rico. Great people!

The Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rossello, is a great guy and leader who is really working hard. Thank you Ricky!

Just spoke to Governor Kenneth Mapp of the U.S. Virgin Islands who stated that  and Military are doing a GREAT job! Thank you Governor!

Congresswoman Jennifer Gonzalez-Colon of Puerto Rico has been wonderful to deal with and a great representative of the people. Thank you!

My Administration, Governor @RicardoRossello, and many others are working together to help the people of Puerto Rico in every way...

My Administration, Governor @RicardoRossello, and many others are working together to help the people of Puerto Rico in every way...
...... critics are working overtime, but we're getting great marks from the people that truly matter! 🇵🇷

We must all be united in offering assistance to everyone suffering in Puerto Rico and elsewhere in the wake of this terrible disaster.

For five days after Hurricane Maria, some rich asshole was too busy arguing with professional sports players to mention the millions in Puerto Rico devastated by the natural disaster. Unlike Hurricane Harvey in Texas or Hurricane Irma in Florida, the rich asshole seemed largely unconcerned with Puerto Rico until the criticism began.
Of course, nothing is the rich asshole’s fault. The response that went smoothly in Texas and Florida were all his accomplishments, but the failure in Puerto Rico is everyone else’s faults: the Democrats, Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, and the lazy Puerto Ricans who won’t just get to work.
His comments to the citizens of Puerto Rico, telling them not to trust the “fake news” is particularly interesting. If anyone would know what the true state of the response efforts on their own island, it would be those citizens. Facts have tended to matter little to the current presidential administration, though.
Twitter was not amused by the rich asshole’s rampage, either.

She’s ‘too busy being on TV’: White House trashes San Juan mayor for passing on Tuesday photo-op with the rich asshole

Tom Boggioni

30 SEP 2017 AT 14:22 ET

some rich asshole’s White House continued the president’s war on San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz Saturday afternoon, telling reporters that she must be “too busy being on TV” to meet with the rich asshole at the FEMA command center during a proposed presidential visit to Puerto Rico on Tuesday.
the rich asshole kicked off Saturday morning criticizing Cruz — then attacking survivors of Hurricane Maria as lazy — on Twitter from his New Jersey golf resort, tweeting, “The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to the rich asshole.”
He then added, “Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They want everything to be done for them.”
the rich asshole has scheduled a trip to the American territory on Tuesday and a White House official took a shot at Cruz, implying she’s too busy being a television celebrity to meet with the president.
According to ABC, an unnamed White House spokesperson said they were “not sure,”  if Cruz would show up for what would inevitably be a  photo-op with the rich asshole.
“She has been invited to FEMA command center several times to see operations and be part of efforts but so far has refused to come, maybe too busy doing TV?” the spokesperson said.
Cruz has notably been seen working the streets of San Juan helping survivors of the devastating disaster and organizing relief efforts in the absence of adequate federal help from the the rich asshole administration.

As anger swells over the federal government’s failed disaster relief for Puerto Rico, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders attempted to cast President some rich asshole as the hero who brought a happily-ever-after ending to the island that was devastated by Hurricane Maria.
the rich asshole, “has your back” is “the real story some in the media refuse to tell,” Sanders tweeted Saturday morning.
“I hear the best way to help starving and dying people hit by a
hurricane is to trash talk them and then go golfing,” Anne tweeted in response.
The internet had different opinions about the “real story” in Puerto Rico.
“The real story is that people are needlessly dying due to the extremely slow response of the current administration to the crisis,” Sheila Kremer fact-checked.
Here are some of the other responses to Sarah Huckabee Sanders trying to re-write the narrative of Puerto Rico:

Trump: an icon of evil. Tweeting petty attacks from his golf club, while the Mayor of San Juan is busy saving lives pic.twitter.com/ZZhmCR0Mpp

Please stop pitting state govt officials against one another. 45 should apologize to mayor and ask how he can help. You are not helping.

The White House now trying to politically divide a Governor and a mayor dealing with a horrific disaster. Disgusting. https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/914168719286431749

Maybe if you had a sterling reputation for telling something vaguely resembling the truth, this wouldn't be immediately dismissed as a lie.

You call yourself a Christian? When you lie so effortlessly? How do you live with yourself?

The real story: @POTUS won't do a damn thing unless his ass gets kissed. And even then, not for brown people.

Get out of the muck for the love of God. This is a terrible look for our country. Save the public relations battle for later. Ppl are dying

Bullshit we have eyes and we all can see what his golfing lazy ass is doing

Where's @POTUS today? Oh yeah -golfing while AMERICANS in PR try to share some rice & water while living on a cot in the convention centre.

the real story is that, while trump is tweeting petty and cruel shit from his golf course, actual human beings are dying https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/914168719286431749

The real story is that the President is vile, racist garbage who makes EVERYTHING about him.

How can you sleep at night, working for this man? Your career is ruined. Youd be advised to step aside now and salvage the rest of your life

‘Shittiest president ever’ the rich asshole gets pounded on Twitter for continued Puerto Rico attacks

David Ferguson

President some rich asshole continued his fusillade of petulant tweets aimed at the people of Puerto Rico and San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz on Saturday afternoon while managing to also get in a dig targeting the other objects of his resentment right now, NFL players.

I will be in PR on Tues. to further ensure we continue doing everything possible to assist & support the people in their time of great need.

Very important that NFL players STAND tomorrow, and always, for the playing of our National Anthem. Respect our Flag and our Country!

Because of  my people are not getting the credit they deserve for doing a great job. As seen here, they are ALL doing a GREAT JOB!

Twitter users were disgusted, angry and baffled that the nation’s chief executive could be so childish and petty when 3.5 million American citizens are facing life-and-death circumstances on the island 10 days after Hurricane Maria made landfall.

Did you get invited? I'm pretty sure they may not want you there.

Remember, as it gets buried by a torrent of spin, that Trump attacked the hurricane-ravaged people of Puerto Rico as lazy and ungrateful

He really has no shame. He is trying to use his "alternative facts" and bullying to change the narrative. We at too smart for this bullshit.
No matter how many times you say you're doing well, no matter how many propaganda vids you share, you still attacked a mayor in Puerto Rico.

People are dying!! You are mentally ill! Resign not only for the sake of the nation but the world!

‘This is a time when people show their true colors’: San Juan mayor drips contempt for the rich asshole’s ‘petty’ insults

Tom Boggioni

30 SEP 2017 AT 11:25 ET
San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz took the high road Saturday morning while responding to insults from President some rich asshole, saying she had more important things to do than care about his “petty” insults.
Appearing with MSNBC host Joy Reid, Mayor Cruz said that the people of Puerto Rico are “moving ahead.”
“That’s what it’s all about,” she continued. “All about saving lives, not about politics, not about petty comments. It’s about moving forward, putting boots on the ground and saving lives.”
Directly responding to the rich asshole’s insulting tweets delivered from his New Jersey golf resort, Cruz dismissed the president out of hand, saying he was wrong about her and the people of Puerto Rico.
“Actually, I was asking for help. I wasn’t saying anything nasty about the president,” she told the MSNBC host. “But don’t take my word for it. General Buchanan, a three star general, has said as one of the first comments he’s made about the Puerto Rico situation that he doesn’t have enough troops to get the situation under control. So, who am I? I’m just a little mayor from the capital city of San Juan. This is a three star general telling the world right now he does not have the appropriate means and tools to take care of the situation.”
“This is what we have, one goal: it is to save lives,” she continued. “I tweeted this morning that this is a time when everyone shows their true colors. I have no time for distractions. All I have is time for people to move forward, get help and what kind of a Puerto Rican, what kind of a human would I be if I know of other mayors that are getting no water and no food and I just look the other way and just had my city taken care of?”

Photo of San Juan mayor in waist-deep water goes viral as the rich asshole criticizes her leadership

A picture emerged on the internet Saturday of Carmen Yulín Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, searching for Hurricane Maria victims. Cruz is depicted holding a megaphone in her left hand as she stands in waist-deep flood water. She held in her right hand the hand of a civilian in a canoe.
"I know there are Trump voters who are not okay with him treating Puerto Rico this way (here's the mayor he's attacking)," Journalist Mark Harris wrote of Cruz's actions in a tweet Saturday. "Please speak up."

I know there are Trump voters who are not okay with him treating Puerto Rico this way (here's the mayor he's attacking). Please speak up.

The image comes on the heels of remarks President Donald Trump made on Twitter over Cruz's "poor" leadership skills. Trump claimed that the Puerto Rican officials want "everything to be done for them," but alleged that federal workers on-site are doing a "fantastic job."
"The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump," Trump wrote on Twitter Saturday. "Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job."
Trump added, "The military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed."
Trump's administration actively worked with Puerto Rican officials ahead of Hurrican Maria's devastation, at first. The U.S. president's trip to a New Jersey golf course is saidto have delayed the island's intended aid, according to reports. This elicited a response from "Hamilton" playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda on Twitter Saturday, saying, "[Cruz] has been working 24/7. You have been GOLFING."
Puerto Ricans have been left to fend for themselves. Many residents are without food and water. Power is unlikely to be restored for up to six months because time is needed to repair the electric grid.
Cruz is not amused by the delayed help. Victims from Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma received immediate aid from federal workers, but Puerto Rico has not benefitted from the same treatment. She made a plea to the Trump administration to aid the "dying" citizens.
"We are dying here, and I cannot fathom the thought that the greatest nation in the world cannot figure out logistics for a small island of 100 miles by 35 miles. Mayday! We are in trouble," Cruz said at a press conference Friday. "I am going to do what I never thought I would do. I am begging, begging anyone who can hear us to save us from dying."
Cruz added, "We are dying, and you are killing us with inefficiency and bureaucracy."

The damages from Hurricane Maria's lashes could cost anywhere between $45 billion to $95 billion, CNN reported Thursday.

‘They need to take care of themselves’: the rich asshole booster backs president’s complaint about lazy Puerto Ricans

Tom Boggioni

30 SEP 2017 AT 13:04 ET
Appearing on CNN Saturday morning, former South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer (R) lectured Puerto Rico hurricane victims on self-sufficiency saying they “need to take care of themselves.”
Asked about San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz requesting help for the American territory after it was devastated by Hurricane Maria, Bauer said “I’m a state’s rights guy.”
“Look, I believe the federal government has a role and responsibility to come in and help, but local leadership is supposed to lead, not the federal government, and so it really falls on the backs of the people that have been elected, and make no mistake, resources have been given,” Bauer said about the catastrophe. “Eleven major highways cleared, 10,000 people down there, you’ve got on the ground a four-star general, 11 points of distribution, 500 gas stations with gas, air-dropped supplies in places where they can’t get to major hubs, $40 million available right now, so things have been done.”
“The federal government has come in, but my feeling is the federal government’s role is not to come in and take over,” he continued. “As a local guy that’s served in local elected office, I wouldn’t want the federal government to ever come in and take over.”
Addressing the squabble between the rich asshole and Mayor Cruz, Bauer sided with the Republican president.
“Well keep in mind the mayor is the one that actually struck first,” Bauer explained. “Here the president is doing everything he can, two other major catastrophes. My house was flooded four feet, I helped myself. I realized theirs is much worse than mine, but I think the mentality too often is to turn to Washington every time you turn around, and local leadership needs to take this by the horns.”
“If the federal government comes in and helps, that’s great. But again, this is a territory, they have to take care of themselves and we have given them an unbelievable amount of supplies, but to fault the president when he’s personally coming down on Tuesday, sent members of his staff, wait a minute, we want a full understanding before we immediately send funds down there,” he added.

San Juan’s mayor was telling the truth when she said ‘People are dying’

Newsweek

30 SEP 2017 AT 21:35 ET

Posted with permission from Newsweek
When Carmen Yulín Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, told reporters while begging the White House for help that "people are dying," she wasn't exaggerating.
Her city and much of the island is coming up on two weeks of suffering after Hurricane Irma, which not only knocked out power for the entire population but also left scores of people without clean drinking water, easy access to gasoline, readily available food and much-needed medical care. Although the death toll is officially 16 right now, that number will almost definitely go up.
"Sadly, the island is so badly damaged that there is no ability to communicate—no way to know the number of people who may have been killed in the storm itself with houses coming down, debris," Stephen E. Flynn, the founding director of the Global Resilience Institute at Northeastern University, tells Newsweek.

Puerto Ricans on life support and dependent on oxygen are dying from lack of electricity.

Hurricane Maria slammed Puerto Rico on September 20 as a Category 4 storm, bringing with it torrential rains, high winds and huge risks to an area just starting to recover from Hurricane Irma. The director of Puerto Rico's emergency management agency told reporters during the storm that he predicted he'd "find our island destroyed." Trees fell, buildings flooded and entire communities were effectively cut off from the outside world.
But the chaos didn't end when the storm passed.
Many Puerto Ricans who survived the storm are now in life-threatening situations, Flynn says. Hospitals have limited power from generators that rely on diesel—which is now in short supply. Doctors who are spread out in various communities have no backup power and, because of their size, aren't likely to get any of the limited supplies coming in.

4) Gas line today in . This station, like many, doesn't have gas left. Drivers wait for next delivery; don't know when it'll be

All of this leaves the sick and elderly at risk.
"Anybody who’s already vulnerable and going for a long period of time without power and is reliant on medications, electronic monitoring, medical devices … as the days march on—and the days are marching on—they become a much more frail population," he adds.
The general population is hurting, too. Some may be trapped; some may starve. Others may encounter diseases in contaminated floodwater like several Texans did after Hurricane Harvey or see their chronic illnesses worsen without treatment.
Even the cleanup efforts are dangerous. "People are going to have to clear the debris, and they’re using heavy equipment to do this—machetes and so forth," Flynn says. "That almost always translates into injuries."

No power. No work. No money. We have to make a 3-4 hr line to get into the market to see if we can get any food.   Rico
Flynn isn't the first to raise alarm about the potentially climbing number of Maria casualties. The Center for Investigative Journalism suggested this week that the government either wasn't revealing or didn't know the full loss of life, writing on its website that "there are dozens of hurricane-related deaths and the number could rise to the hundreds."
Because aid is so desperately needed, Trump has been criticized for not doing enough to help Puerto Rico. He waived the Jones Act so shipments of supplies could reach its people faster, but on Saturday he picked a Twitter fight with Cruz, the San Juan mayor.
Moving forward, Flynn says better preparation for these types of natural disasters is necessary. He cautions emergency management authorities against focusing too much on the before and during stages of a storm and overlooking the after.
For Puerto Rico now, though, all he can hope for is immediate help.
"There is significant suffering," Flynn adds. "It's a humanitarian disaster, in my view, and needs to be treated that way."

Here’s an updated snapshot of efforts happening today (9/30) to deliver food, water & other supplies to Puerto Rico & the USVI.

Dem Rep: the rich asshole can ‘kick and scream’ but truth about botched Maria response ‘is going to come out’

David Ferguson

30 SEP 2017 AT 17:19 ET

Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL) said that President some rich asshole and his mouthpieces “can kick and scream all they want,” but the truth about the gross inadequacy of their response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico “is going to come out.”
the rich asshole has blocked Democratic members of Congress from viewing the destruction in Puerto Rico first hand by forbidding them from accompanying relief missions to the island.
“You can have as many alternative facts as you want to use,” Soto said, “and as many counter-punches on Twitter, but people see things for what they are. Here in central Florida, people can’t reach their families. There are mayors who still haven’t heard from the federal government throughout the island.”
“I’ll be seeing the island tomorrow — after being blocked by the administration — along with other Democratic lawmakers,” he said. “But the truth is going to come out, no matter how much the rich asshole and others may try to kick and scream and try to paint this as not the crisis that it is.”

Ana Navarro explodes over the rich asshole attacking Puerto Rico ‘from his gaudy, gold-inlaid golf course’

David Ferguson

30 SEP 2017 AT 18:16 ET

On “CNN Newsroom with Ana Cabrera” Saturday, Republican former South Carolina Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer tried to walk back his statements from earlier in the day when he said that Puerto Ricans need to do more to “take care of themselves”in the absence of a coherent federal response effort to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Maria.
Bauer fretted that he should have “softened the message” of his remarks, but Navarro wasn’t having any of that.
She blistered the rich asshole for attacking American citizens from “his gaudy, rococo, gold-inlaid gold course in New Jersey.”
“He’s got the biggest platform here and he is the one that’s telling the people of Puerto Rico that they want everything done for them,” said Navarro, according to Mediaite.com. “And blaming the financial crisis on this devastation. How dare he?! How dare he?! At this great moment of distress. That is unacceptable.”
Bauer tried to cut in, but Navarro blew right past him.
“And I will not accept any apologism for the rich asshole,” she said. “Not today, Andre! Not today! You are going to give him a bit of scrutiny!”

the rich asshole attacks ‘nasty’ San Juan mayor and accuses Puerto Rico workers of being lazy in vicious tweet frenzy

Tom Boggioni

30 SEP 2017 AT 07:40 ET

President some rich asshole launched an early morning Twitter attack on the mayor of San Juan, saying she is being manipulated by the Democratic Party, and told to be “nasty” to him.
He followed that up by blaming her leadership for the slowness in repairs, while calling Puerto Rican workers lazy, saying they “want everything done for them.”
Throughout Friday, Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz made multiple appeals to mainland U.S. citizens that “people are dying” in Puerto Rico, and was mildly critical of the president for not sending more help to the U.S. territory that was ravaged by a hurricane.
Later in the day, Cruz ramped up her appeal, specifically addressing the rich asshole, saying, “We are not as second-class citizens, but as animals that can be disposed of.”
the rich asshole, who has a history of over-reacting on Twitter to even the smallest slight, lashed out at Cruz early Saturday morning, tweeting, “The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to the rich asshole.”
You can read the tweets below:

The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.
