the rich asshole called Senate Democrats to insist his personal finances will ‘get killed’ by GOP’s tax bill
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
In a pitch to 12 Senate Democrats on Tuesday, some rich asshole insisted his personal finances will “get killed” if the Republican tax cut bill passes, an assertion the president presumably hoped would sway members of his opposing party.
“My accountant called me and said ‘you’re going to get killed in this bill,’” the rich asshole told the Democratic senators, according to NBC. The president made the call from South Korea, in an attempt to sway the Congressional lawmakers who are currently presenting a roadblock for his party’s tax bill. According to people who were present for the call, the rich asshole added the only element of the bill that will help him is the repeal of the estate tax.
the rich asshole has repeatedly refused to release his tax returns, so it’s unclear what specific impact the GOP tax plan will have on his personal finances. The president is likewise known to speak in what he refers to as “truthful hyperbole,” and what others refer to as “lies,” so it’s also unclear whether his accountant actually called him to tell him the tax plan would harm him personally.
As NBC reports, the rich asshole’s legislative affairs chief Marc Short and economics adviser Gary Cohn attended the meeting with the Democratic senators, which turned into a “sparring match” over the White House and GOP leaders’ bill-crafting process.
Short told NBC News the GOP tax plan does include the repeal of the estate tax, pointing out the administration has “been advocating for the elimination of the death tax for a while.”
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders likewise confirmed “the president did call in and urged senators to support the bill.”
‘Eat it you racist snail’: Internet piles on the rich asshole after he backs yet another failed candidate

The Virginia gubernatorial race had barely been called in favor of Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam when Twitter immediately began dogpiling on President some rich asshole for having a second candidate he’d endorsed losing their race.
Early on Election Day morning, the rich asshole tweeted that voting for Ed Gillespie, Northam’s failed Republican opponent, would somehow eliminate both the Salvadoran gang MS-13 (which were featured prominently in one of his attack ads) and crime in general.
Shortly after the election was called, however, the rich asshole used his new 280 characters in an attempt to distance himself from the candidate he supported earlier in the day.
Twitter, of course, couldn’t let that one go gracefully.
“Eat it you racist snail,” Late Show writer Daniel Kibblesmith tweeted.
“Hey Don, @EdWGillespie was defeated,” another user tweeted. “Your endorsement sealed it. He wouldn’t even acknowledge you. You’re toxic to @GOP candidates.”
“Gillespie lost. Everyone you endorse loses. Please do not endorse my paintings,” painter and Fishing With John star John Lurie tweeted.

some rich asshole just plugged his New Jersey golf club during a major speech to South Korea’s legislature.
Addressing the National Assembly in Seoul on Wednesday (South Korea time), the rich asshole listed a handful of the nation’s cultural accomplishments, including Park Sung-hyun’s victory at this year’s U.S. Women’s Open.
“Korean golfers are some of the best on Earth,” the rich asshole said. “In fact, and you know what I’m going to say, the Women’s U.S. Open was held this year at the rich asshole National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., and it just happened to be won by a great Korean golfer.”
As the audience of lawmakers and dignitaries applauded, the rich asshole added, “congratulations, that’s really something.”
The comment fueled criticism that the rich asshole was using the presidency to promote his private business interests.
In his speech, the rich asshole railed against North Korea and confront leader Kim Jong Un over his nuclear program.

THE RICH ASSHOLE GOES BALLISTIC AS HIS GOP CANDIDATE LOSES IN VIRGINIA; HE’S LOST IT
Posted by Rika Christensen on 07 Nov 2017
The polls have just barely closed on the East Coast, and both the New Jersey and Virginia governors’ races have gone to Democrats. The loss is especially painful in Virginia as the rich asshole not only endorsed Republican candidate Ed Gillespie, but has been trying to build him up on Twitter as the only proper choice. Now that Northam, the Democrat, has won, the rich asshole is already on Twitter shirking any and all responsibility for why Gillespie lost.
In fact, he’s reverted completely back to junior high with typical “Well, I didn’t want to be your friend anyway,” bullshit. In responding to Gillespie’s loss, he actually implied Gillespie lost because he’s not Trumpian enough:
Translation: “I can’t tolerate losses by candidates I endorsed, so it’s really their own fault.” But Gillespie won non-college educated whites by a significant margin, which, well, says a lot about just how Trumpian he was. the rich asshole won that same group by nearly the same margin a year ago. And the rich asshole isn’t the only one; Laura Ingraham is also busy making lame excuses about why Gillespie lost:
Anything to make this look like something other than a painful blow to the GOP.
the rich asshole is also ignoring the fact that the positions of lieutenant governor and attorney general in Virginia have also gone to Democrats. Furthermore, the Democrats have picked up 11 seats in Virginia’s House of Delegates and are currently up 45-44, with 11 seats still up for grabs as of the time of this posting. So if the rich asshole is talking about Virginia here, he’s completely out to lunch.
But a Democrat also won the governorship in New Jersey, and Democrat Bill DeBlasio is currently leading in the New York City mayoral race. In other words, Democrats won big on the East Coast tonight and the rich asshole is busy trying to excuse it by implying that more Republicans would have won if they’d only just been more like him.
Or, to put it another way, he doesn’t want to look like a kiss of death for the GOP, which he may well be. Too bad for the rich asshole.

the rich asshole tried and failed to go to the Korean Peninsula’s DMZ — then blamed it on poor weather

President some rich asshole reportedly tried and failed to go to the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea.
Members of the White House press pool, as cited by CNN’s Jim Acosta, reported the president’s attempt. Soon after, the Associated Press reported that the rich asshole didn’t go to the DMZ because of “poor weather.
As Acosta reported on OutFront with Erin Burnett, the decision to travel to the DMZ appears to have been made last-minute, as initial reports claimed the rich asshole would not be visiting the area between North and South Korea because, as press poolers were told, those types of visits were “a little bit of a cliché.”
Nevertheless, poolers were told by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders they would be flying to the DMZ with the president.
“She informed them of where they were going by scrawling on a piece of paper and holding it up to them, the letters ‘DMZ,'” Acosta reported from Seoul, South Korea. “And then they were taken to a nearby area where they were loaded onto helicopters.”
Upon arrival at the area, the White House’s report on the incident holds, the weather was so bad that despite waiting, they eventually turned around and did not enter the DMZ.
“It would have been a dramatic moment,” Acosta conceded, “but it didn’t happen because of the weather here in Seoul.”

Putin-linked businessman who the rich asshole claims he can’t recognize showed up at his invite-only election party: report

In a special edition of “The Resistance,” host Keith Olbermann dropped a bombshell just in time for the year anniversary of some rich asshole’s stunning election: that the then-candidate’s election night victory party was attended by a Russian businessman he claimed he wouldn’t recognize even if they were seated in the same room.
In a GQ exclusive, Olbermann noted that Felix Sater, a Russian-American businessman with ties to both organized crime and Russian President Vladimir Putin, reportedly attended the rich asshole’s November 8, 2016 party. According to GQ’s reporting, he also gave interviews to news crews there, though it’s unclear if those interviews ever aired.
In 2015, Sater emailed the rich asshole’s lawyer Michael Cohen to propose a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” Sater wrote to Cohen. “I will get all of Putin’s team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.”
Sater has become a tense figure for the rich asshole, and he once walked out of an interview when someone asked him about the colorful Russian-American businessman.

‘We as a country are making him look like an *ss’: the rich asshole voters defend president one year after election
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
As part of an investigation into how voters who chose some rich asshole to become president feel about him one year after the election, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace found few regrets and blame for the rich asshole’s failures assigned elsewhere.
In an interview with Katy Tur, the Deadline: White House host explained that she went back and tracked down the rich asshole voters she interviewed before the election last year to see how they feel about their votes now.
“I was out on Sunday and I went back to Pennsylvania, which is one of my favorite spots, and talked to Dave Lock and Judy Phelps who are two the rich asshole voters who were life-long Democrats,” Wallace explained while setting up the clips to be run. “Dave was a Bernie Sanders supporter and voted for the rich asshole. I pressed them on what they think we in the media are doing wrong and they think that we should cover up the instances in which the rich asshole looks bad.”
Pointing out to Phelps that the rich asshole’s poll numbers have plummeted, the Pennsylvania woman replied, “It hasn’t dropped in my house.”
Phelps admitted that the rich asshole makes her cringe at times, saying, “When I knew that he was going to go on a 12-day tour of China and Japan, I was just keeping my fingers crossed that he was diplomatic.”
“Are you nervous when he talks,” Wallace asked.
“A little bit,” she confessed.
Speaking with Lock, she noted that he was laid off from his job with General Electric and had once backed Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders but switched to the rich asshole because he thought he would bring about change.
“We always see the Harrison Fords that play the president who is tough, punches the bad guy in the face. Now we have one of those people and he is going to get things done and I think it is good,” Lock explained.
“Now he is fighting with members of his own cabinet, former presidents, Republican senators,” Wallace pressed.
“I think they would go away if we quit advertising them,” Lock, who is still unemployed, rationalized. “We as a country are making him look like an ass, he needs to try to defend himself.”
“Do you think he does anything to make himself look like an ass?” the MSBC host asked.
“He helps, absolutely,” Lock conceded. “Maybe he is not doing it the appropriate way or with the most appropriate of words, but leave him alone and let him do his job and see what he can do.”

the rich asshole’s approval rating tanks, as his base falls apart
Chris Riotta
Posted with permission from Newsweek
President Donald Trump’s base appeared to be anything but intact this week, as his approval ratings continued their decline to lows that no other president in modern American history has suffered during a first year in office.
Support among the noncollege-educated white voters who made up a big portion of the Trump base throughout the 2016 election dropped 13 percent in a CNN poll published Monday afternoon, to 49 percent from 59 percent approval at the 100-day mark. In the poll conducted Thursday through Sunday, the commander in chief’s overall approval rating among voters also reached a new low for a CNN survey since Inauguration Day, dipping to 36 percent from 37 percent, as independents and minorities also continued to abandon Trump.

Trump’s base in recent weeks has appeared increasingly dissatisfied with his handling of public service duties since taking control of the Oval Office. The majority of working class white and independent voters said they disapproved of the president’s efforts on upholding his campaign promises, according to a Fox News poll published October 30, including tax and health care reform.

The latest CNN poll aligned with other red flags for Trump throughout the week, including in Gallup’s polling published Monday: The president’s approval hit a new low, at 33 percent. It doesn’t look like his problems are going away anytime soon, either.
The president’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, and his business partner, Rick Gates, were indicted last week as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump team’s suspected collusion with Russian operatives during the election. The White House was reportedly in disarray as the bombshell dropped that a federal grand jury approved the investigation’s first charges.
Nearly half of Americans said they believe Trump himself committed a crime in his alleged dealings with the Russians, according to an ABC News/ Washington Post poll published Thursday. That number was well up from an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll published in July, in which 25 percent of those surveyed said they suspected the president committed illegal acts during the campaign, while 29 percent said they believed that he had been unethical but that his actions did not amount to a crime.
Unfortunately for Trump, dubbing the Russia probe “fake news” doesn’t seem to be making the issue disappear as quickly as his base appears to be.

Office of the Public Liaison director of communications Omarosa Manigault is once again under fire for surprising White House officials by bringing her entire wedding party to the official home of President some rich asshole for a photo shoot without warning.
According to Politico, the former Apprentice star showed up unexpectedly at the White House accompanied by her 39-person entourage following her wedding in April, where they took pictures and made a racket as they toured the West Wing and the Rose Garden.
The report states that Manigault was quickly banned from posting the wedding pictures taken in the White House by government attorneys, citing security concerns. According to the report, it is unclear if Omarosa was given approval to invade the White House, saying senior administration staffers and security officials were stunned when she showed up with friends.
Manigualt has been under fire from other the rich asshole administration staffers, with many questioning what exactly she does, and one calling her department a “dumpster fire place to work.”
“Colleagues regularly complain about Manigault’s behavior and work ethic,” a Daily Beast report stated. “She frequently derails internal meetings with irrelevant or counterproductive interjections and she’s earned a reputation for attempting to micromanage White House communications operations.”
According to the Politico report, Manigault botched a presidential meeting with the country’s top teachers earlier this year, failing to secure a sufficiently large meeting place at the White House and instead shepherding angry family members of the teachers into the Eisenhower Executive Office Building where they were invited to watch the ceremony on a small TV.

This week, President some rich asshole announced that he “never knew there were so many countries,” while on a trip to Asia. It prompted the co-hosts of “The View” to string together all of the things the rich asshole has admitted he didn’t know before becoming president.
“Well, there are only two countries he knew about: The U.S. and Russia,” co-host Joy Behar quipped.
“Why would he say, ‘who knew?'” Goldberg wondered. “Well, I think, probably, every, single, other person before you knew there were more countries than just two.”
The co-host explained that it wasn’t the first time the rich asshole was surprised about something he didn’t know.
“Nobody knew that healthcare could be so hard,” the rich asshole said as he attempted to both repeal and replace Obamacare.
“The governor of Puerto Rico is so thankful for the great job we’re doing,” the rich asshole said after Hurricane Maria struck the island. “And it’s the most difficult job because it’s on an island in the middle of the ocean.”
He later went on that the ocean is a “big ocean.”
“Lincoln signed the law that built the first transcontinental railroad … most people don’t even know he was a Republican, right? Does anyone know?” the rich asshole asked the audience in another speech.
Republican commentator Meghan McCain said that the statement about former President Abraham Lincoln was what “kills me because I personally have a pearl necklace with Abraham Lincoln’s face on it. He is a Republican. The ultimate Republican icon.”
Co-host Sara Haines would prefer if the rich asshole would keep such special insights behind closed doors.
