the rich asshole launches Twitter attack on ‘boring’ NFL with call to ‘fire or suspend’ players who kneel during anthem
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
President some rich asshole continued his weekend-long obsession with a few football players kneeling during the national anthem by telling NFL owners they need to “fire of suspend” players or face the wrath of fans.
Writing on Twitter, the rich asshole attempted to place the blame for declining attendance at NFL games on player protests in his early morning tweet by writing, “If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!”
the rich asshole later tweeted another attack on the NFL, calling the games “boring.”
the rich asshole’s comments, no doubt, come in response to many NFL teams issuing statements on Saturday saying they respect the opinion of the players, while calling the rich asshole’s Friday night comments about ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick “divisive and disrespectful.”
Friday night, in a speech at an Alabama rally, the rich asshole called the former San Francisco 49er quarterback a “son of a b*tch” which has led to an outpouring of support for Kaepernick and an all-out war between professional athletes and the rich asshole.
Additionally, the rich asshole took a shot at popular NBA star Stephen Curry by rescinding an invitation to the White House — after Curry’s team, the NBA champion Golden State Warriors, had already indicated that they would skip the traditional meeting with the president.

247Sports reported that it “would be by far the biggest national anthem protest yet.”
Jamie Erdahl of CBS Sports confirmed that the Steelers would indeed be staying in the locker room during the playing of the national anthem on Sunday.
the rich asshole has called on NFL owners to fire players who take a knee during the anthem.

Getting a jump on NFL games in the United States, players, coaches and one owner either took a knee or locked arms at a game being played at London’s Wembley Stadium early Sunday morning.
The Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars are playing their game overseas on Sunday and, as the national anthem was played, more players than usual dropped to one knee or linked arms with coaches in a severe rebuke to President some rich asshole who set off a firestorm Friday night after attacking ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
In photos posted to Twitter, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan was also seen locking arms on the sideline with players.

‘I’m pissed off, I supported some rich asshole’: Ex-NFL coach Rex Ryan hammers president over anthem attack
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
During a Sunday morning panel segment on ESPN, former Buffalo Bills and New York Jets coach Rex Ryan lambasted some rich asshole, saying he is appalled at the president’s comments about players taking a knee during the national anthem.
“Let me tell you, I’m pissed off, I’ll be honest with you,” Ryan said Sunday morning. “I supported some rich asshole. I sat back when he asked me to introduce him at a rally in Buffalo, I did that.”
Addressing the rich asshole’s Friday night comments directed at ex-NFL player Colin Kaepernick, Ryan continued, “But I’m reading these comments, and it’s appalling to me. And I’m sure it’s appalling to almost any citizen in our country. It should be.”
“You know, calling our players SOBs and all that kind of stuff, that’s not the men that I know. The men that I know in the locker room I’m proud of. I’m proud to be associated with those people,” Ryan added. “I apologized for being pissed off but guess what? That’s it, because right away I’m associated with what some rich asshole stands for and all that because I introduced him. I never signed up for that, I never wanted that. That doesn’t mean I support 100 percent of the things he says.”
This is not the first time Ryan — an avid the rich asshole booster — has been disappointed in the president.
Prior to the election he had to walk back his full support of the rich asshole after the Access Hollywood tape was revealed, saying, “I still haven’t seen the video and I don’t care to.”

‘These ingrates must be deported’: Twitter racists attack NFL’s only Muslim owner for standing with players
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
While multiple NFL owners stood in solidarity with their players on Sunday in protests against President some rich asshole’s attacks, none came under the more scrutiny and criticism than the league’s sole Muslim — and non-white — billionaire owner, Shahid Khan.
With his team playing in London’s Wembley Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens, Khan got an early jump on the other owners, appearing on the sideline, linking arms with his players during the national anthem.
Khan’s ethnicity, as one might expect, was immediately singled out by fans of the rich asshole who has based his administration on hostility to immigrants, with one “patriotic” Twitter user tweeting, “the rich asshole is patriotic, Khan is not.”

Fox’s Terry Bradshaw lights up the rich asshole on Sunday broadcast: He doesn’t understand what freedom means
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
Longtime Fox Sports anchor Terry Bradshaw suggested over the weekend that President some rich asshole does not have a basic understanding of the freedoms enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
Bradshaw and the Sunday pre-game crew at Fox laid into the rich asshole after the president launched multiple recent attacks on NFL players who choose to protest the national anthem.
“This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it’s freedom,” Bradshaw said. “People died for that freedom. I’m not sure if our President understands those rights. That every American has the right to speak out also to protest. Believe me, these athletes do love our this great country of ours. Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcare rather than ripping into athletes and the NFL.”
Jared Kushner used private email account to conduct White House business: report
DON'T MISS STORIES. FOLLOW RAW STORY!
President some rich asshole’s son-in-law and senior White House aide Jared Kushner has used a private email account that he set up after the 2016 election to conduct official White House business and to communicate with other staffers, said Politico on Sunday.
“Kushner uses his private account alongside his official White House email account, sometimes trading emails with senior White House officials, outside advisers and others about media coverage, event planning and other subjects, according to four people familiar with the correspondence,” Politico’s Josh Dawsey reported, adding that reporters have seen and verified about two dozen emails.
This comes after the rich asshole campaigned heavily on “Crooked Hillary” Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State. The president returned to that theme on Friday night when he led a crowd at a campaign rally in a chant of “Lock her up!”
Kushner attorney Abbe Lowell conceded that the president’s son-in-law has used a private account to communicate with White House aides, but it hardly ever happened and it was never for business.
“Mr. Kushner uses his White House email address to conduct White House business,” Lowell said in a statement. “Fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account. These usually forwarded news articles or political commentary and most often occurred when someone initiated the exchange by sending an email to his personal rather than his White House address.”
Currently, there is no indication that Kushner shared sensitive or classified information through his personal account, nor that the private account is his primary one. Still, the account was created for Kushner and Ivanka the rich asshole as they prepared to leave New York City for Washington.
Private accounts used for communication between White House personnel are forbidden under the Presidential Records Act, which requires documentation and records of all of the president’s personal and political activities.
Pres. the rich asshole himself does not use email because he has never learned how and does not carry a cell phone. His use of Twitter is carried out via dictation to “one of the young ladies” on his office staff.
the rich asshole Just Threatened To Murder 25 Million People Because Words Offended Him
On Saturday night, some rich asshole once again casually threatened nuclear war against the country of North Korea. The last time he did that, he came back with an arguably weak package of sanctions, which penalized only individuals doing business with the dictatorship. This time, Snowflake the rich asshole was triggered by North Korea’s Foreign Minister speaking at the UN.
Ri Yong Ho told the assembly that the week’s exchange of insults between the rich asshole and his apparent arch-nemesis Kim Jong Un made “our rocket’s visit to the entire US mainland inevitable all the more,” apparently threatening to aim North Korean missiles directly at the United States. The isolated peninsular nation, by all accounts, is years away from developing technology that will actually reach us.
the rich asshole “fired” back:
the rich asshole has now added an adjective to his new nickname for Kim, further Trumpifying “Rocket Man” into what he surely believes is a dagger through the heart of the 33-year-old dictator.
“They won’t be around,” of course, includes the 25 million inhabitants of North Korea, as even the smallest of our nuclear weapons would cause inconceivable damage to the geographically insignificant country.
the rich asshole is undoubtedly attempting to deflect some attention away from his weekend misadventures in Alabama, which earned him the scorn of every sports fan in America over his racist call for NFL owners to fire players who kneel during the national anthem. “Unpatriotic,” he calls it. I don’t think some rich asshole knows what patriotism is.
It certainly isn’t making America look like a global bully that takes offense at the most meaningless of statements from a hostile foreign minister.
Seahawks’ Richard Sherman, dozens of athletes respond to the rich asshole’s rant against NFL player protests
President some rich asshole condemned NFL player protests at a rally on Friday. By Saturday morning, many NFL players had responded.
At a political rally in Alabama Friday, President some rich asshole denounced NFL players who have publicly protested by kneeling or sitting during the playing of the national anthem before games.\
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out. He’s fired! He’s fired!'” the rich asshole said to the crowd at the rally in Huntsville, Ala.
He also called for NFL fans to leave the stadium when players kneel for the anthem, theorizing this would quickly put a stop to the protests.
the rich asshole’s comments struck a bad note with NFL players, and by Saturday morning, many, including Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman expressed their disgust on Twitter.
Sherman’s teammates Bobby Wagner and Germain Ifedi, retweeted him, while cornerback Jeremy Lane retweeted a tweet with a video and the words “me waiting for the rich asshole to hurry and get out of office” with a black fist emoji.
From Dave Zirin, who’s currently writing a book with Michael Bennett, here is a statement from receiver Doug Baldwin:
The Seahawks’ most prominent protester this season has been Bennett, who says he’ll remain seated for the national anthem all season as a symbol of protest to advocate for the rights of African Americans, women and other minority groups. Bennett also raised a fist in a symbol of “solidarity for oppressed peoples” after his sack of 49ers quarterback Brian Hoyer last week.
Defensive lineman Cliff Avril added to the list of Seahawks responding on Twitter to the rich asshole’s comments, writing, “Wow! Is this what we’ve come to? The ‘leader’ of this country continues to try to divide us and now wants divide one of the few thing that any and everyone can come together and enjoy no matter [what] ethnic group you are.”
Fellow defensive lineman Frank Clark appeared to confirm that he would join Bennett on the bench Sunday in wake of the rich asshole’s comments. Clark and Avril had previously taken part toward the end of the anthem, after standing for the beginning.
the rich asshole doubled down on his comments from Friday’s rally with a new set of tweets Saturday morning.
Here’s what some other NFL players, including former UW star Bishop Sankey had to say about the rich asshole’s comments.
The NFL and NFLPA also responded to the rich asshole’s comments Saturday morning, with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell saying in a statement, “divisive comments like these demonstrate an unfortunate lack of respect for the NFL, our great game and all our players.”
NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith tweeted a statement saying, “this union will never back down when it comes to protecting the constitutional rights of our players as citizens as well as their safety as men who compete in a game that exposes them to great risks.” NFLPA president Eric Winston, who was briefly a Seahawk in 2014, also tweeted a statement.
This fiery response to the rich asshole’s condemnation of NFL player protests has led to speculation on social media about whether the rich asshole’s rant against the NFL might trigger more widespread protests when NFL teams take the field on Sunday.
By mid-Saturday morning, the hashtag #TakeaKnee was trending on Twitter.
the rich asshole is facing backlash from prominent members of the NBA community, too, after he tweeted Saturday morning that the NBA champion Golden State Warriors’ invitation to the White House has been “rescinded” after Warriors star Stephen Curry’s comments indicating he might not want to go to the White House to meet the rich asshole as part of the traditional reception for championship teams.
This led to the following comments from LeBron James, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant, who have both been to the White House in the past to celebrate their NBA championships.
This is what Curry said declining a White House invitation would mean.
